I went to Vegas July 7-11th and used both a $50 free play and $25 free play at the Mirage. I'm going again in a couple weeks and I'm trying to snag the $25 free play (still at Mirage) but I'm getting the error "your purchase limit for this reward has been reached".

As of today it's been exactly a month since I left Vegas, so I should be out of the 30 day window (even then I redeemed the original reward on the 7th). I've read the terms of use over and over and can't figure out why it's not letting me take it. Does anyone know if free play has special criteria that I'm not aware of?

You can only use the freeplay once, ever. :(
You still have the $10 freeplay to use.

adele822 - I could be wrong. I just went to MyVegas to check and it just let me redeem another $25 free play for Aria. It's been a year since I redeemed my last one.
You may want to email support or maybe someone else knows for sure. Sorry for the confusion.

Apparently the rewards come out in batches. It will not let you buy a reward twice from the same batch. This is what I understand. You may wait a bit and try again - maybe a new batch will come out before you go.

After clicking next, see under the heading "Purchase & Usage Limitations"

"This reward is limit to 1 per MyVEGAS player"

This is the only exception to the "Purchase & Usage Limitations." If you see the reward change prices or disappear for a few days, that is usually an indicator that the quantity of that reward they had available has run out and they have gotten a new batch of that reward to make available. Typically, this is the only time you can purchase and use the same reward a second time.

I've used the freeplay rewards from MyVegas at Mirage several times- usually at least 6 months to a year apart, so I know you can definitely re-use rewards over time.
I tried to redeem the freeplay at MB last trip, and even though I was staying 3 nights, they said nope. Not sure why MB doesn't let you use these. I haven't had a problem using freeplay at Mirage or MGM even with comped rooms.
Also, the pub crawl (I think it's called pub crawl) reward from MyVegas got cancelled. I tried to redeem it last trip at NYNY and they said sorry. Bummer- I was looking forward to that one.

The rewards do come out in batches. If it lets you purchase it than you can use it.
Mandalay Bay has a different set of terms for their freeplay. It specifically states that it cannot be used with any other Mlife promotion that includes complimentary nights. So if you had comped nights, then they won't let you use it. The only exception is the $100 freeplay. They do not have the same terms.

Ahh, I didn't realize they came out in batches. This is the first time I've taken two Vegas trips this close together, so I probably never noticed it before because it wasn't an issue. Guess I'll snag a buffet or something instead. Thanks for the info everyone!

I ran into the same issues! ("Back to back" rewards and the MB free play being a "no go" with a room comp.
Understand where they are coming from, just wish the explanations were a bit more clear. Instead of batches, it would be easier if they could just tell us ...within a 6 month period... for instance.
