Does anyone have Palace Station feedback? I would not mind staying there for a night. How are the rooms and the restaurants in the casino?

Palace Station is fine. If you looking for the Bellagio, its not! However the food choices are plenty and decent. Video poker is superior to any strip casino and table limits are $5.00-$15.00. The rooms were all redone about 4/5 years ago (within) the tower! Nicely done and with standard amenities!

Free shuttle runs hourly to/from Fashion Show mall for at least 16 hours of the day!

I heard that Palace Station changed all their low-roller blackjack to 6:5 recently, can this possibly be true?? Any idea?

We went over to play a while on our last two trips. Although I like the casino, and the food options are indeed pretty good (we ain't down with gourmet cuisine thrice daily) and our bankroll lasted a good while. We never stayed there, and I doubt we would...just dig the strip. It's kind of a nice break from the business of the strip.

They changed all their $5 blackjack tables to 6:5 last month. Tower rooms are just fine, oyster bar is outstanding. Definitely agree with Champster on the VP choices.....

I'd also like some info on the comp situation at Palace Station...
First time playing there last trip (2 months ago) and they're FLOODING me with offers (3 free nights, VIP events like NFL Opening Weekend, Oktoberfest, etc)
All we played was $100 on 5c UltX vP, $100 on $1 single line video poker, and then $100 on UTH..we were only there about 2 hours total....
If this is just how generous they are...then sign me up!
I'm gonna check out the tower room here at the end of the month...but we enjoyed the few hours we were there...struck me as a GoldCoast...

    You are right about it!
Gold Coast from Boyd and Palace from Stations are the two properties heavily target Asian players (locals and tourists) .

I DID not know that..but it makes sense as at GC, it's always LOADED with Asian's playing Bac...and this time when we visited PS, it ALSO was LOADED with Asians playing Bac....interesting marketing strategy...

The hosts at Palace Station are great, especially Janet and Alan. It is very true that they are very generous with offers and VIP events. They have a core of regular players that typically just bet minimum on penny slots, but if a typical strip player who bets max pennies or even dollars, it puts you at the top of the list at Palace Station. Nearly everyone we come in contact with there is friendly and upbeat from Valets, to security. Their buffet, while dirt cheap, always has quality food for breakfast and brunch.

The rooms are nice and if you on a full comp, often times they will put you in a Petite Suite with a 180 degree sitting area with nice views. The rooms look and feel like those at a Hilton Garden inn or a Courtyard.

There are a lot of subtle things Palace Station offers that make it a great place....the dirt cheap midnight specials at the Grand Cafe, the prices on cigarettes are about half what other casinos charge, and their slot selection is better than most strip casinos. All in all, a great place to get away from the strip for a while.

    thanks for the info, Erik.
I'm definitely going to throw some play their way and see what happens...just close enough to the strip.and just far enough away to have good video poker, haha.

No $5 3:2 blackjack is a deal breaker for me.

I guess I should either get used to $10 or $15 min or quit playing. Becoming an endangered species even downtown and off strip. For now I can still find $5 at Southpoint and Gold Coast with good rules.

Check the "resort fees" at Palace St. --- if your room isn't comp'd.
Could be more than the room price !

Palace St. was my first "home" hotel when i began to go
    to Vegas solo.
Stayed there a couple times........was always treated well.
    That was circa 1990 ?

OK then,if you are all so sure about Palace Station,l've just booked three nights in November.Suppose l'd better study up on V.P.before l arrive.Pretty sure l've got blackjack under control except for soft doubling.Don't exist down under.P.S. Thanks everyone for your posts as it helps me choose where to stay, otherwise it would just be potluck.

As long as you're staying there, I highly recommend The Charcoal Room for a very good steak dinner. Prices are moderate, quality it well above average. Service has been outstanding. It's not difficult to find $30 off coupons for The Charcoal Room. MyVegas even has that reward.

    Good luck.

We are heading to Vegas Friday for our third stay at Palace Station. We love the staff there! We like that the place isn't overrun with kids and you can actually enjoy the pools during the day. The rooms are nice and the hotel is clean. Would recommend for those who like to stay off the strip. The food prices are good also.
