Same here. I only play at the borgata in AC. However, if I continue to visit vegas I may have to switch over to the mgm family of hotels.

I like to have as much of my play with one rewards group

Good old MGM! Its nice to see the same team responsible for the MLife website writing on the Borgata page.

"Q: Where I can learn more about MGM Resorts destinations or M life Rewards?"

This is great news... Hopefully the transition and linking of existing Borgata and MLife accounts is smooth.

I think this will be detrimental to Borg as a lot of the reason why people went there in the first place was to escape the stingy comps at the CET properties. Personally, I'll stick with CET

Since I became a breeder I have been making fewer and fewer trips to vegas. AC is much easier, just 90 minutes from home and the kids love the beach.

With that said I fell from Platinum with Mlife to Gold last year. And I havent been back since. Oct 1st I'll lose my status completely. I might make a run to vegas before then, while I'm still gold, what are the chances that they will extend out my Gold status to match that of my Black Label card that runs through 2017?

Hubby was JUST talking with his dad about how we should try Atlantic City. My cheapo response..."I don't get free rooms or food there..." Case closed.

Until....we received an email announcing the merger..."Welcome Borgata to the MGM family." Clicking on the link shows 3 free nights and 100$ food credit, but must be used in 90 days of signing up for the tier match to black card.
    .
We are west coast, so while it sounds fun, it probably won't happen. For those of you close enough to use it though, look out for this email.

It doesn't advertise the free rooms in the email...but once you click on the link it's there if you're eligible. (It says they're targeting mllife gold and above.)

Just a tip for anyone close enough to cash in on this! :D

PS, I'm only Mlife gold (though will finally hit platinum this trip) so they're not only hitting high rollers

I'm happy that the Borg is now an mlife property since we go to LV often but I'm hoping that they will keep the best of the Borg perks like the $10 buffet and $10 entrance to the Amphora lounge for Black label cardholders. What I don't like about the Borg is the fact that comp points disappear if not used within, I think, six months. It also surprises me that they are matching Borg black label for Milfe gold and not platinum. Borg does a lot to attract players like giving away great gifts, free shows, 777 days for free play, etc. I hope they remember their market and keep these things.

For those that are happy with the move to MLife, are you are happy with this move even knowing comps for slot and VP (and I would assume table games) are being cut by HALF with this change?

I don't see the issue. If you aren't going to play there any time soon there is no need to get the black card...
