Big fireworks show at 10:50 tonight.

During the resort’s anniversary weekend celebrations Aug. 5-6, look for a commemorative cake and champagne toast. On Sunday, July 3, at 9 p.m., Caesars has a colossal 13½ minute fireworks display above the Julius Tower along with a weekend long block party with live music.

I remember Caesars very distinctly from my first trips. It was very low-key and classy compared to the others. Subtle blue lights surrounding the one hotel building at the time. LOL, I almost felt like "I don't really belong here" in there at the time.

I'm not a CET fan in the least but Caesars Palace has always been special to me. I enjoy it as much today as I did in the early 80s. It's the only strip property that I make it a point to play in at least once every trip, in fact with well over a 100 LV trips I don't think there's ever been a trip when I didn't play there. Wherever Jay Sarno rests now he can proudly claim Veni, Vidi, Vici for all eternity.....

After reading Grandissimo I really wish I could have seen Caesars and Circus Circus when Jay opened them.

I was there in 71. I have to say it was busy, bright and loud!

I was at the pool for the Fireworks and at the gala on Saturday, What impressed me the most was when I was looking at a display showing how Ceasars Place was built a man came over to me and explained everything from the rain drainage to the plan of hotel and where everything was and is now. He spent 15 minutes making me an expert on CP. Then I asked him how he knew all this stuff and it was Jay Sarno Jr. I thought it was cool he spent 15 minutes of a big event showing me all the details of his fathers Enterprise.

We were there also. Had a wonderful time and for 90, Tony Bennett can still belt out the tunes. It was nice to say we sang happy birthday to him. We had our encounter with Bill Medley when he walked in. He stopped at our table for a minute shook hands and gave my wife a hug and another of the woman at our table. The Beef Wellington was great and the entertainment was top notch, I wonder how Evil Keneval's son felt after Howie bashed him on his clothes :>). I wish we would have won the cruise, that suite looked unreal. The fireworks on Friday were good and we had a good laugh at all the people trying to get a glimpse of Gordon Ramsay in his cabana. We capped off the weekend with Rod Stewart concert Sunday night. This will be a great memory for us.......Rick
