I found an old notice while doing some mail shredding.
    Unclaimed funds bureau --
I googled....it is tied to my state comptroller's office.
    *
    I found I had 2 unclaimed funds !
One....I know the "ballpark" amount....not much....I know where it comes from.
The second ?......I have no idea ?...the amount, or why ?
    *
It says "15 business days" for claims to be processed.
    *
It's sorta like waiting for a lottery check ?.......
......well....maybe the second check will be BIG ?

Good luck Joe,I checked this unclaimed funds out years ago and found we had $800 bucks from an old insurance policy that was due us because of Prudential going public or something similar years ago.

Yea I got kind of excited too - glad to hear someone actually
had a nice one. It came out in our paper and I got the form
and sent it in after seeing my name. I had no idea what
it was from............ Sadly - they mailed me a check for .19 cents
for an underpayment of a small dividend I had in Raytheon stock when
I had it. So sad. .19 cents.

Well....the check I know about is a stock dividend -
should be about $11 to $15 bucks.
    The other ?.......no idea..........I hope it's more than 16 - 19 cents !

Our state has a site but you won't show up on it unless the refund is worth collecting- 50 bucks minimum, something like that.

missingmoney.org should also be a valid one. I'm pretty sure that's the one that State of Wisconsin links from. I have it at work on my favs & check the business name once a year (as well as my personal - which never has shown up).
