    Heynow Gamblers

I am in need of new sunglasses........my old....like twenty plus years old.....Vaurnets were the sad recipient of my big fat foot. Dropped them and stepped on them getting out of the car. D'OH !

Anyone have any suggestions for decent driving/everyday sunglasses that won't break the bank......under $100.00 maybe ? Function before fashion for me, polarized with good glass would be nice.

    Thanks everyone

I have a pair of polarized Bolle that I really like and wear every day. They were right around $100.

Raybans are what I wear when I drive. Make sure it's polarized. You can find some pretty good glasses for at $100-150.

Splurge and go with Maui Jims. Just keep that big fat foot away from them. :)

I own several pairs of Oakleys, one polarized set, others are not. That's my vote [emoji1306]

I am rough with sunglasses, so I get mine on the Boardwalk in AC at the Dollar Store. Picked up a pair of Foster Grants last month. I might splurge and go for the $15 ones from Amazon.

How bout a 2nd pair? Smith & Wesson Elite
KCC 21303. @ around $7 a pair do as you wish with them. I use them at work all the time. I have to wear glasses for the full 12hr shift. I have clears, day n nights, and regular day sun glasses. They are really well built and they feel really comfortable on your face all day. Give them a shot you will like em promise.

I originally was going to say Maui jims but the prices are way up there. I do believe however they have a life time guarantee

Well.......found some at REI, SunCloud......I tried on some Maui Jims and Bolle', really nice, I just couldn't pull that off in my brain.

$44.95, big enough for the melon, right tint, light and sturdy, big lenses, good optics. I will wear them around my neck on a Chums holder so I usually don't lose them, but they live in my pack so I am hoping they don't scratch easily. My Vaurnets were as scratch resistant as plate glass. I miss them so.....:(

    Thanks again everyone :nworthy:

Rusty, when I put my Ray Bans in my glasses holder I wrap them in one of those tiny cloths that are used to wipe off the lenses to clean them. This has worked very well for me with the added benefit of always having a cloth at the ready to wipe off the lenses if they are dirty, smeared etc.

I've had 2 pair of Maui Jim's and both were crappy quality. I know they're popular and maybe I just had bad luck but I stick to Ray Ban's or Oakleys now.
