just a few more days and I'll be taking off after work on Friday! I'll be driving with my daughter, I expect to arrive at about midnight. Her boyfriend, my son, and my sister and niece will arrive at various times in the next day (all kids are over 21). A bit bummed that my brother in law can't make it, he's my favorite Vegas buddy.... Here's what I plan to do: Friday: check-in at Luxor, pop open my 24 oz Heineken traditional first drink! 1 hour (maybe more) of slots and then go to bed Saturday: AM buffet at Caesars, I got the groupon for two which includes the VIP front of the line thingy and two drinks. After breakfast wander the strip with my daughter - Bellagio to see the ATM fish tank. Slots in various casinos we pop into. The buffet is the only planned meal, we'll just "graze" the rest of the day if we get hungry. That how I usually do it, one sit down meal a day. Probably an hour or two at the pool. I also have to check to my room, I'll be in my daughters room on night one since the other two sharing the room won't be there, I'm in the premier tower suite, hope it's worth it! Carrot Top at night and then gamble until I am ready for bed (anywhere from midnight to 5AM) Sunday: sister and niece arrive from NY - she loves Tuscany so well gamble there at night, rest of the day is open for whatever we feel like doing. Monday: we'll all get together at BurGR late afternoon and then head to Fremont. Side note: everyone who is going enjoys each other's company AND has no problem doing solo stuff - I know folks here can relate because many of us have stories of guests who have made things somewhat 'difficult' Tuesday: another day of doing whatever I feel like - I'll probably take my sister to lunch or dinner. I love The Oyster Bar at Harrahs so I'd like to treat her to that. Wednesday: drive home. Sis will be coming to stay for the rest of the week. So lots of open time during the trip to do what I love best in Vegas: ANYTHING! I'll do a trip report when I get back, I can't imagine doing a live one but I REALLY appreciate the folks who take the time to do theirs live.
Sounds like a great trip planned. Six weeks until my family trip to celebrate my youngest brothers son turning 21. Mark
Sorry your brother in law couldn't make the trip but your plan sounds good... Looking forward to reading your trip report. Good luck andyg99!
Love to hear that others also do a "flexible" schedule when traveling with a group.....everyone can have a good time! Enjoy
Will be following along - until I get there myself! Have a great time! BTW your avatar reminds me that I need to watch "Vegas Vacation" again before I leave for my trip.
I'll be watching Vegas vacation tomorrow night, The Hangover on Wednesday night... Thursday night is pack and organize - as soon as I come home on Friday bags go in the car and we are off to the promised land!
BTW - the 3 that are going with me to see Carrot Top think I got seats near the back... Front row surprise on Saturday night and shots of Crown! although reading the reviews on his show it seems like there isn't a bad seat in the house
I wouldn't do it any other way - I had a bad experience going to Vegas with the "wrong" person... never will happen again.
Sounds like you're gonna have a great time, Andy! I will look out for your trip report and wish you the best of luck and fun!
If you and your sister like oysters, maybe you like this tip: At the Venetian DB Brasserie they have $1 oysters during oyster hour, every day between 5-6pm. Link: http://www.venetian.com/restaurants/french/db-brasserie.html# (under "MENUS" click "View Happy Hour Menu")
Lol I also make that mistake always with people's avatars, thinking it's them in the picture. [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]
