    My Trip Report

I know this report will fall under the mundane category here, so I will keep it short.

Took the GF to Las Vegas for her birthday from July 17-22. Stayed at Orleans, as we always do. Rentals were un-affordable, so we stayed at "home" for 95% of the trip.

I hit a $0.50 royal on my fifth spin for $2,000, and never looked back. The next day, I was dealt a $0.25 royal. My first trip with two royals. Had some great rolls at craps, and made money on that game all week.

GF had a bad week, but hit a $2,000 hand on VP herself at the end. Made her trip worthwhile.

Had a $50 baseball parlay that cashed for $800.

Had no great meals, didn't screw any hookers, and was in bed by midnight most nights.

    Sour notes:

Las Vegas was hosting some sort of basketball event that has colleges looking at these boys play. The whole city was full of kids. The Orleans was ridiculously inundated with these kids, and they acted like......kids! Running all over the place, yelling up and down the halls at all hours, playing with the elevators.....I had enough of that shit in a real short order!

Came home a winner for only the 4th time in almost 60 trips. Thinking about heading back for opening weekend of NFL.........

    Thanks for reading.

There were big HS basketball tourneys in vegas this past week. I talked to a few of the families that were staying at Cosmo when I was there a few days ago. Apparently it was one of the bigger recruiting events because NCAA rules prohibit college coaches from seeing the HS kids in person for a while after late July. no surprise there were a lot of kids running around

I can verify some recruiting happening in Vegas via some D1 Assistants I know taking trips to Clark County this past week.....and they don't get paid enough money to go there on their own.

Very happy to hear that you came out ahead gambling wise. I came back from a solo trip a couple of weeks ago and am still on the fence whether to post it since it's the same old same old from trips past, lol!

Again glad that lady luck was in your corner. Still hoping she would tag along on one of my trips, ha! ha!

There were quite a few kids for sports tournaments at Orleans when we stayed there too...is that a more common occurence than I would have guessed? Congrats on the win!

Those were some nice wins you and your girlfriend had - a winning trip for sure - congrats!
Short and to the point - every TR is different - that's what makes them all such a good read - thanks for sharing!

Have not stayed at the Orleans but every time I visit there seems to be some sort of competition going on that involves kids. Dance, cheer, ball....
    Congrats on a winning trip!

When I read you hit a royal on a half-dollar machine, I thought maybe you should have taken $200,000 to gamble on this trip and hit that royal on a $5 machine, or on a $100 machine, LOL. Winning trips are always great to read, it is wonderful when you take home some of what happens in Vegas. Nice mundane trip, thanks for reporting.

Now that's the kind of "mundane" we all want!! Congrats to you and your girlfriend on the wins! It's funny how luck seems to run in streaks like that.

:)) I thought your TR was perfect. It summed up most of my 30-40 trips to LV. Well, the content of just hanging out in partyland is the same but my trip has a different twist. I go solo, I always get a car, and I jump around from cheap hotel to cheap hotel every few nights to keep up with my comped rooms. I haven't had an over priced meal on the Stip in years as I find out where the top places to eat are in the city and try them; comps cover the rest of my meals. I read your TR and thought, "This is how 99% of trip reports really read."
