OK, thinking of changing hotels for my next CET comp trip.

Although I love staying at Caesars because the 7* valet is right outside the Augustus Tower, plus my host is based there . . . I've often wondered about the other properties.

I've stayed at:

Paris
Planet Hollywood (When it was Aladdin)
Ballys (correction)

The last time I booked at Harrahs I got a Valley Tower Executive Suite, but didn't stay there because I double booked and gave it to my cousin, so "assume" $120 comp value for the room.

So, I haven't stayed at:

Harrahs
Flamingo
The Linq
Cromwell
Rio

Since CET "doesn't care" where you play (as long as it's a Las Vegas CET property), play isn't an issue, nor is food, since I can bill to my room at most restaurants. I will have a car, so the Rio is in play.

Any opinions (positive or negative) appreciated.

 

I don't see Bally's accounted for here. That said, their Jubilee rooms are at least in contention for best non-CP room in the Vegas CET system.

 

Tough one; I am over CP because of the size; just looking for a smaller venue.
Can you get Anthology Suites comped at other properties--that would be worth looking into.
Betting you could get comped suites at other resorts.
Will that mess up the host relationship? (I don't have a host...)

 

Caesars is always going to be your top-shelf hotel. Paris has your typical themed atmosphere which you know. Planet Hollywood caters to the younger crowd with its music, but when I play there, I don't see a more than normal young crowd. It seems to me that the crowd is middle-aged or older just like most casinos. All the others seem to me like your typical middle-of-the-road casinos.

I've stayed at all of them except Cromwell and Linq. Stayed at Linq when it was the IP. My last 5-6 trips have all been at Caesars though. Thinking about trying the Cromwell next time just to cross it off the list. I'd probably stay at the Rio more if it was on the strip. Love the size of all the rooms.

 

We have stayed at Caesars, Paris, Harrah's, Flamingo, Bally's and our home casino Planet Hollywood. We are in the middle age and love the early day music (classic rock) at Planet Hollywood and the later evening music is usually remixes so not too bad. As far as staying new places I would go with Cromwell and maybe Linq as both are remodeled and on the upper end. We are staying at Caesars in a couple of weeks for the first time in about 5 years. We are booked in an Augustus strip view which is great (Planet Hollywood we get Panorama Suite) as we use the room about 8 or 9 hours at the most. Good luck with the decision............Rick

 

I'm 7* as well, and I've stayed at most of the hotels in the past. Now I just stay in the Augustus tower every trip. It's really the best.

If you want to mix it up, try planet Hollywood. But I wouldn't do anything else.

 

Really not sure I'd bother. I can't comment on suite quality if you could get those comped, but even if you found an awesome room, there really isn't a single area where you'll gain much. The pool won't get better, the rooms won't be better, the dining selection will likely be worse. All you can really get is a shorter walk. Cromwell could be interesting for that.

 

I would not even consider the Rio. It's been cet's redheaded step-child for so long that it's gone gray.

 

We always stay at Paris, find it to be very comfortable, Diamond check-in (Carolyn or Ronisha) is outstanding, I am sure you would get a suite with a great view of the Bellagio, restaurants are great. Slots are a little tight but lots of table games. Pool area is okay lots of chairs. I always found the valet to be very quick.

 

Doesn't the Eiffel Tower block a lot of the sun at the pool?

 

We just spent two nights in a cabana room at the Linq and won't be going back. The rooms at the Linq are tiny!

 

I like the Jubilee Suites at Bally's.

 

we've stayed at most places CET...except CP (coming up for christmas)
So far we liked PHO the best, as far as "ROH" rooms go...but since you're 7*, you could get a Panorama Suite.

 

Not really. The sun comes up at the pool, close to the Eiffel Tower side at about 9:30. The side of the pool closest to the villas and cabanas gets sun just after that. The tower doesn't cast a shadow til late in the day.

 

I agree; I stayed at Rio last week for the first time in at least a decade and their "updated" Samba rooms are pretty beat up, dining selections are nothing to write home about and the Casino is boring.

 

Nice quiet rooms then stay at CP. It's downhill at the others You either get a ok room but it's gets noise from one place or the other. Then you might get a old room that's in need of an update but it quiet.

 

first time posting we stayed at Harrahs their new suites are beautiful every employee is so friendly asking if u need anything the host are great just wish Canada had more CT casino s other than Windsor hurts with are dollar so low

 

We stayed at the Cromwell in March and the room was really small and crowded. It was nice but my wife prefers staying at PHO. On our next trip we are staying in one of the upgraded rooms which look really nice and bright.
