Yesterday I saw an ad here on VMB for PapaJohns 50% off. Tonight we used the promo code SUMMERTIME to get 50% off one XL The Works, 8 Garlic Knots, and 32 Buffalo wings. Total came to $26.xx with tax, carry-out.
What a deal! Wish we had a PJs around here, especially with deals like that! We have a Pizza Hut 45 minutes away in one direction and a Domino's 45 minutes in the other direction. We usually order-in some PJs when we stay in the Minneapolis area. I love that Garlic sauce!
I never get good Adsense ads. It's usually telling me what I was just shopping for on Amazon or that I need to stay at La Quinta. We don't have PapaJohn's nearby. Our local place is one of the fancy wood-fired places. I believe last time we went there it was $28+tax for a medium pizza with fiddlehead ferns on it.
That one is on right now for me. The PJ was kinda funny. I saw the ad and 50% off while I was at work, once I got home I could not remember the promo code or where I saw it. Google was no help. Today I had a little dead time at work so I popped on VMB and saw it again. The wings are very good. Baked, tender, and juicy. The promo is good through July. I'll hit them up again soon.
They drive right by my house all the time, but I'm not in their delivery area They are on my way home and I always get an email from them on Mondays for 50% off a large or extra large (Promo code GIVEME50 if that helps anyone.) They also always seem to have a Buy One Get One Free code (BOGO) for large or XL pizzas also. Either way, I use their app to order to earn points toward a freebie down the road and pick it up on the way home. I fell in love with their Garden Fresh pizza with thin crust, except I substituted bacon for the black olives Lately, I've switched over to the Chicken & Veggie pizza, again swapping out the olives for bacon. Neither one is a bad bet for $8 on a Monday night
Did they give you a coupon for 50% off imodium for the next day? Haha man I do love me some garlic dipping sauce though.
I'm going to take this opportunity to tell everybody about a way to get fresh, hot, awesome pizza for nearly nothing. I bought a bread machine off Craigslist for $30 to make my own pizza dough and now I can make pizzas much better than anything Papa John's, Pizza Hut, Domino's, Little Caesars, etc. make for only about $2 per pizza. With pizza about once a week for three years, that means I've saved (conservatively calculated) over $3000. Just food for thought (pun completely intended.)
I don't think I have a lot of control over the adsense ads in that slot. When we had them on the old software, it took awhile but eventually they started showing more based on the content of the board and less local offers once we had them up for awhile. I can look and see if there is a way I can manually tweak it, but it may take some digging around.
The only problem with the coupon is you have to eat that shitty pizza. It's flavored cardboard that's why you need all the dipping sauces.
Here in Minnesota everytime the twins, wolves, and lynx win we get half off pizza the next day there.. it gets crazy busy on those days..
