That's too bad. I like that sign. Hope they have plans to put it back.

Was the driver chasing down a Pokemon? :wink2:

I'm personally surprised this didn't happen before. Apparently the driver took a famous baseball players advice - when you get to the fork in the road take it...:kill:

"Impairment was not suspected" in a one-vehicle crash. Interesting...must have been even worse than that -- texting or doing that Pokemon thing.

Another vote here hoping that they replace that sign! It was a cool little homage to the big one.

(Edited to add: sorry Sonya...I didn't see before that you had already made the Pokemon comment.)

OK, I'm obviously aware of the famous one on the South Strip, but I'd never even heard of this before.

LOL, 99% of vegas visitors aren't aware of it either.

When I first read this I was just glad it was a pickup truck and not one of Flusher's Poonstang adventures.

Remember John Belushi's reaction when the guy tripped spilling the liquor in the movie Animal House? That was me when I read this story.

Nope. If he wasn't "impaired," then he was texting or playing Pokémon Go. Either activity while driving should get you the "death penalty" as far as driving goes.

It's easy to miss it. It wasn't on FSE or anywhere you could wander by it exploring downtown. IIRC, it was on LVB between Stratosphere and downtown, where there is a split in LVB, somewhere kind of near where LVB crosses Charleston. I don't believe it has been there that long. Maybe since the mid-2000s.

wow, what a ridiculous statement. People crashed without anyone else involved before mobile phones were invented i'm guessing you realise.

Pretty spot on. It's actually kiddy-corner to Stratosphere...across from "Little White Chapel"; If you're driving down LVB, towards downtown, it's where LVB and MainStreet meet (or split-off)

Wow. What if the driver fainted or had a seizure?

Thanks for clarifying. I thought maybe it was a bit further down, but you know how it is in Vegas. :drunk:
