Two weeks ago, while I was down in Atlantic City, I was talking to another BJ player. We were at a $25. table playing an average game. Anyway, I noticed he was a Diamond member so I asked him, "what do you do to get to Diamond?" He told me he played "A LOT" of slots. I have been playing BJ exclusively for years, usually using a 1000-1500 bank roll for a one or two night stay in AC, however, I can never get beyond Platinum. As for BJ tables I go from 10 to 100, just depends on how things are going. I know CET is not the most preferred brand when it comes to casino properties but I love the fact I can use my card here and also in LV. Plus, being only a little more than two hours away from AC, it is very convenient. So, I am curious to hear how other folks are getting Diamond. I know they just had the spring bonus and that pushed me to Platinum and I know you need 15000 pts for Diamond but what do you play? What is considered " A LOT" when it comes to slots etc.. Thanks!
Slots will earn you 1 tier credit point for every $5 coin-in. VP will earn you 1 point for every $10 coin-in. I play table games, and I notice that a $50 average bet in BJ for around 8 hours will get me 1,000 points. A $50 average bet in Three-Card-Poker for 6 hours gets me around 1,000 points. Remember, you get an additional 250 points if you earn at least 500 tier credit points, an additional 1,000 points if you earn at least 1,000 tier credit points, and an additional 5,000 points if you earn at least 2,500 tier credit points.
I'm not a tables player. But have some knowledge on Slots. As myself and my wife are both Diamond. I have been told concerning tables you have to make sure they are aware of the amount you have spent and credit your card with the appropriate tier credits. Now Slots, is different as the computer keeps up with it for you. For every $5.00 "coin in" you receive 1 tier credit (on slots) Video Poker is 1 tier credit for every $10.00 coin in. Coin in is not the actual amount you put in the machine but the amount PLUS what you win and play back. For instance, If you put $100.00 in the machine and during that $100.00 investment you win $300.00 and play that $300.00 back as well, you have now spent $400.00 and receive tier credits for the $400.00 instead of the $100.00. 1 Tier credit for each $5.00 (in slots) spent equals 20 tier credits per $100.00 so the $400.00 you just spent got you 80 tier credits and in reality, you only spent $100.00 of your actual money. When you put your card in the machine, look at the digital little screen that has your name running across it. Usually on the right hand side there is a counter. It starts out at 500 if you are betting $1.00 per spin every time you bet/spin that 500 number will drop by 100, cause you are betting $1.00. After the 5th bet/spin you will receive 1 tier credit. And the counter will start back at 500. I always watch that so when I am ready to leave the machine I make sure it has reset back to 500. Cause if you walk away when the counter is at say 100, you will not get tier credit for the past $4.00 you spent. When you put your card in another machine it resets back to zero. That does not mean you have lost all your tier credits you have earned earlier. The machine just has to start back at zero for that particular machine. As Aces and Eights mentioned the tier credit bonus, that is during the casino’s “gaming day” hours which usually runs from 6:00 am – 5:59 am. In other words, I personally would not start playing at say 5:00 am cause it will be tough to get any tier credit bonus that last hour of the casino’s “gaming day”. 15,000 Tier Credits is equal to $75,000.00 "coin in". Remember "coin in" is your money plus your wins you play back. You will not spend $75,000.00 of your actual money to accomplish Diamond. So don’t let that scare you Hope this information helps! Happy spins!
CET loves slot players because naturally the odds are in their favor. Using that same bankroll playing slots will get your better offers and make it much easier to achieve Diamond status.
I used to play BJ and Craps. I have found it much easier to attain diamond playing $1 video poker. Once you know strategy it takes little effort to play 500 hands/hour. At $5/hand that's $2,500 through the machine or 250 tier points/hour. Definitely try to play 500 or 1000 tier points in a day to get your bonuses. In Atlantic City CET will short pay your tier points on the full pay video poker games (20:1 or 50:1 instead of 10:1) but if you search, you can find games paying about 99% return with full tier credits being offered. At 25,000 tier points the Diamond Lounge is free for you and a guest.
smerrian is correct as is jdk----25,000 tier points will get you a diamond card that gives you and a guest free access to the diamond lounge------15,00 tier points will get you a diamond card but you will need to use $10 in reward credits for yourself and another $10 in reward credits for a guest----these are the rules in ac-----in places like vegas and Laughlin you and a guest can still get free access with a 15,000 tier point card-------would assume the ac rule is there because of the amount and quality of the food that is offered------
Total Rewards does not favor table players at all, but they heavily favor VP players and slot players are somewhere in the middle. It's just the way it is. If you only play BJ, you would need a way bigger average bet and hours played to earn diamond. I'm 7 Stars from my VP play. I earn at least 5,000 tier credits per day because you can play fast and the house edge is low.
my friend just made 7* last week from playing blackjack, he plays around $25-$200 a hand, but for long periods of time. I made 7* one year in less than two months playing roulette... the thing I tell people is to make sure the pit boss is paying attention to you, they would tell me "i have all these people to check" then you may not see them for a while, i would tell them, I dont care about them, keep checking on me...everytime I had a decent pay out, I would wave at the pit boss as they cant send certain large payouts out without the PB approving it...keep asking them, what they have you in for, if you get low on cash and are about to rebuy in and he walks by and sees you only betting $50, when you have been steady betting $200+, that will bring your average down and take longer to make your points...;et them know what your bets are and make sure they put it in the system correctly... you will see a huge increase in your points on the tables
I've never gotten a read on TCs for table play at CET. Maybe next trip, I'll just play craps the first day, get my rating, and see how many TCs I get. For slots, it's easy to figure out how much it takes to reach Diamond. $5 coin in is 1 TC. It's just a matter of how much you can take advantage of the daily TC bonus. Counting only TCs earned from gaming and not hotel spend: The minimum coin in to reach 15,000 TCs is $25,000. You can do this two ways: One day of $25,000 coin in, which earns you 5,000 base TCs and a 10,000 TC daily bonus Two days of $12,500 coin in, each of which earn you 2,500 TCs and a 5,000 TC daily bonus The next level of daily bonus is $5,000 coin in, which earns you 1,000 TCs and a 1,000 TC daily bonus. If you were to do it at this level, it would take 7 days of $5,000 coin in, or $35,000, to get to 14,000 TCs Then you'd have two choices to get to 15,000: One day with $5,000 coin in, which would earn you 1,000 TCs and a 1,000 TC daily bonus, which would put you at 16,000 TCs, or Two days with $2,500 coin in, each of which would earn you 500 TCs and a 125 TC daily bonus, which would put you at 15,250 TCs. That would be a total of $40,000 coin in by either method to go over the top. The next level of daily bonus after that is $2,500 coin in, which earns you 500 TCs and a 125 TC Daily bonus. This would take 24 days of $2,500 coin in, or $60,000. If you weren't able to make any of the daily bonus levels, and did say, $2,000 coin in a day, or 400 TCs a day, it would take 37.5 days, or $75,000 coin in, to reach 15,000 TCs. $75,000 coin in is the maximum it takes to reach 15,000 TCs
I play BJ and video poker - but 90% of my TC's come from video poker. As others have indicated playing $1 VP at max credits gets you 1 TC for every 2 hands. You can rack up well over 200 points in a hour pretty easily that way. I think I only get about 100 TC points from a 3 hour blackjack session betting $20-25 a hand. So I play BJ for fun and VP for fun and TC's. I also pay close attention to the bonus system watching how many points I have in a day. This year I had a full day at the local casino in April and was doing pretty well playing VP and racked up over 2,500 points that day - probably in less than 8 hours of VP play. That gave me 5,000 in the regular bonus system and then another 3,750 from the spring bonus. So just that day was 11,250 TC's in the end. After that getting the rest of what I need to get to Diamond is easy. Other years I just try to have 4 or 5 1,000 point days in the year which gives me that many 1,000 point bonuses as well. So basically I will focus on VP for a few days a year to accumulate points and then play primarily BJ on other days to fill in points with a little VP added as I do enjoy that also. I never play regular slots at all.. As far as BJ I think I actually could accumulate more points if I played differently. I flat bet - usually $25 a hand in LV but mostly $20 at the local casino. where I play more. My perception is an average bet of $25 gets ranked higher in their system and I would get disproportionately more points if I bet $25 instead of $20 a hand locally. I also think if you vary your bets that they tend to give you the benefit of the doubt in recording your average bet and you get credit for a higher avg bet that way. But like I said - personally I don't worry about how many points I get from blackjack because I play enough VP to renew my Diamond status pretty easily as long as I time it to maximize the bonuses.
