Did anyone make the switch to Cosmo and what offer did you get?

You can ask at the desk. For purposes of tracking entries for the daily slot tourney, they needed to see how many points you earned.

When I was there last week, I never asked specifically on a daily basis for coin-in, because I always knew when I had hit 2,500 points for the max number of entries. But I did ask several times for my total coin-in for the current trip, because I was tracking progress towards maintaining Gold status.

I'd agree for theo, ask your host.

 

Is the autograph lounge is a seperate check in? Similar to an "invited guest" check in?
I booked a 4 night stay at the 1 bedroom terrace fountain view in August. Would be awesome to get the wraparound terrace fountain view

13% theo on Buffalo seems right.
In terms of slots return, Buffalo is also the lowest (except some WAPs such as Megabucks).
When those local casinos offer point multipliers, often they look like 20x Buffalo, 15x penny slot, 10x other slots, 7x VP.
They give out biggest multiplier on Buffalo for a reason, a good reason. Buffalo is the casino's cash cow.

 

While I didn't have much luck with the gaming there overall, I had a blast and loved the room and the view. Thanks to Kevin and Jeff for the great stay. The Cosmo is definitely one of the top hotels in Vegas. Waiting to see, what kind of offers my stay will generate.

 

My trip was 6/26-6/29 and had 32,000 coin-in, epic gaming...lost $200 for the trip. Just received my first offer since!

Is the room offer for a city room? Hard to tell from the description.

Also is there an expiration on that offer?

 

Yes, I'd be curious about the room type as well. I stayed there for the first time in May, had $82,000 in coin in and my free play amount on my marketing offer is $860 ($300 dining credit). This is good, but just curious how you got so much free play with $32,000 in coin in.

 

In my experience at the Cosmo the room type is dependent on your host if you have one. I always go thru my host and she provides a PV Wraparound and always honors whatever the marketing offer is in regards to freeplay and dining credit. Below is my latest offer that I'll use this September, down about $1k from my September 2015 trip because we switched it up a bit and went to another property in March 2016 that matched that offer.

Was it Cosmo where some of the slots accumulate less points? Reels accumulate at a higher rate than video? That's pure speculation on my part.

 

Only video poker is lower. 6 dollar coin in per tier points. All other slots are 2.5 dollars per tier point

 

Expires at the end of September, but doesn't state room type.

 

I may email my host to ask, I'm curious as well. When I had stayed on match offer, was given Wraparound Fountain View, $325FP, and $125FB.

I was just going to comment on the amount of freeplay in his offer, because it amounts to about 9% of his nightly average coin in, if he did $30k in 3 nights. I got an offer after my last trip that was also about 9% of my nightly coin in (although I stayed 7 nights). I estimated my coin in average at right around $4,000/night (maybe a little less) and my freeplay offer was $330.

 

3 nights. My original offer match was a terrace suite, $500 FP and $500 F&B, plus a bump to Platinum. My host made me the same offer for my September trip, and a week later my marketing offer came through, with more free play, less food. Can't tell about the room, as it doesn't specifically say. I would probably make a guess that 30% of my play was Ultimate X VP, so that might have had something to do with it.

Hmmm.

4 nights is worth $400, add the freeplay and resort credit and you get to $1,560, if you say that's about 30% of theo it implies around $5,200 in theo, or $52,000 coin in on slots (although I know you like pennies, so your actual theo is probably higher). If we completely shave 1/3 off your coin in as going to Ultimate X, then that's about $54k on slots, so the total comp value of your offer about matches up. But it seems to ignore theo from Ultimate X (athough these are all very roughly rounded numbers).

But ~$50k over 3 nights is ~$17k/night and 9% of that is $1,530.

Maybe the Ultimate X play affects your freeplay amount in that they figure if you use all your freeplay on Ultimate X, your expected return is probably going to be higher than slots. But that seems like a weird flag to factor into your offers, cause anybody can use freeplay for anything (except specifically excluded machines).

Back to the drawing board I guess.

 

It is what it is. I'm happy with my offer - just curious is all. With that $860 plus the $450 from MGM Grand, I'm not going to complain . I am always curious though how they decide on room type vs. free play. For example, donovanrs28's original offer had a higher suite level (Wraparound Fountain View, $325FP, and $125FB), but less FP and food. That one always makes me curious how they decide that.
