Hi all, I going to spend the Labor day weekend in Vegas for my 32nd birthday. I'm a single man just looking to have fun, any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Welcome! Solo trips can be some of the best....do what you want / when you want & just enjoy. Much great info posted to review for great suggestions.... Have a great time!!
Welcome! I've never done a solo trip, but reading the trip reports for them make me want to do one very badly. Hope you write a trip report so I can follow along on your journey. :-D
What kind of things do you like to do? It all depends on what interests you. For a solo male you can always go to strip clubs if you want to see topless/naked women. There are clubs at night for the younger crowd if you want to go clubbing or day clubs if you want to spend a morning or afternoon at the pool. you can always just rent a car and drive all over vegas. Visit other casinos on boulder highway or Red Rock or down south at the M or Green Valley Ranch. Many shopping centers to visit, Fry's if you want electronics, games and other things. Harbor Freight if you want hardware stuff. Drive to Laughlin or the Hoover dam or valley of fire or red rock canyon if you like to sightsee. It all depends on what interests you so you need to give us a little information on what you want to do in vegas.
Like music? Saturday, Sept 3, 9pm Smash Mouth – 3rd Street Stage on Fremont Street. Free concert and awesome people watching. Other bands might interest you. Check this schedule check it as the date nears Like baseball? Some good match ups that weekend. SFGiants@ Chicago Cubs NYY @ Baltimore Hou @Texas Wash @ NYM Saturday is College Football Week 1. Some decent match ups to start the year. Put a parlay down and root like a madman with the rest of the crazies in a sports book. Current spreads here. I like Wisc(plus), TAMU(minus), 'Bama(minus) and Clemson (minus) LSU vs. Wisconsin 2:30CT ABC (in GB) UCLA at Texas A&M 2:30CT pm CBS Georgia vs. North Carolina (Atlanta) 4:30CT ESPN Alabama vs. USC (Arlington) 7pmCT ABC Clemson at Auburn 8pmCT ESPN
my advice: don't try to do too much... I'm assuming it a 2-3 day trip so find 2-3 things you really want to do or see in Vegas and just enjoy it and take it all in.... some of my best solo trips had only one line item on my agenda: have fun
Great feedback you got already, not much I can add to that. But if you're looking for (non-paid) company or like to meet new people, check out the Vegas Get Togethers in the Trips section here on the board. A lot of times there are VMB meet-ups organized. Or you can start one yourself. Also, you can use an app on your phone to get in contact with people (girls). Check out this thread if you're interested in that: https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/index.php?threads/any-tinder-luck.130917/.
I've made plenty of solo trips. My days are usually spent by the pool or at the gym/spa. Night time is eating and gambling. I'll usually eat at a bar top, but don't mind getting a table for myself either. I pretty much do whatever I want.
For me I love to go to strip clubs. Love to see naked good looking women. I don't bring along a lot of cash and I don't spend a lot at the clubs. I usually go to places like Rhinos who have happy hour prices with free admission but I usually leave before the big crowds come in around 10 pm or later.
Next week would be my 3rd solo trip to vegas. I pretty much take the time off to sleep, rest, chill at the pool, make new friends at bars, pay a visit to the firing range, do a few shows and basically go with the flow. I don't usually have a plan and quite flexible. Fortunately or unfortunately, I don't gamble and I don't visit strip clubs. I'd rather spend time at a bar or the carnival court and chill !!!
