Massage; El Cortez

I went to Happy Feet last month. There are a variety of treatments. If you have an El Cortez player's card, there likely is a special of $10 off the 1.5 hr massage. IMO, it was a good massage for the price. They don't don't make much or anything possibly, so the tip is important.

 

Friends went there today, they are closed for 90 days. Oh my! I was there in March, loved it. Not sure why they are closed. The El staff didn't know why either.

 

Yelp is reporting that Happy Feet at El Cortez will reopen Sept 20,2016. I hope that is accurate. I enjoyed my massage there in May. I wrote a Vegas Bright review of it that will be out soon.
It is much cheaper than Feetish...even if you tip $20.

 

Thanks for the update Blonde. We were hoping to try the place but will miss the opening by 3 days.

 

I agree - I go along the lines of torture. I can barely handle the 20 minutes my hairstylist spends when giving me a pedicure!

 

I pay $45 for a real 60 minute massage.
Being in a room with a bunch of other people is NOT my idea of a relaxing massage.

 

I shot El Cortez an email and they just responded.
They say Happy Feet is being renovated...that is why it is temporarily closed.

 

Actually once they put a towel over your eyes you kinda forget they are there!

 

If you call Happy Feet, you get a different reason on the answering machine. Hmm.

 

After having the regular massage that includes feet, both my sister and I said we'd go back just for the feet alone, ha ha. The regular one was awesome too.

 

What does it say?

 

Probably said "Your feet stink... We Quit!" (I'm just guessing... Just kidding, just kidding?)

Interesting. We have stayed at the El for many years and never knew that. I knew they had a hair salon, but only because one year our view was of the window into the salon.
Hmmm...might be worth looking into this year.

Interesting report Blonde. I hope to try it next time too. For the prices, even including a good tip, it's a great deal.

I'll go for the 60 min. combo massage but no way is someone touching my feet. I'm ticklish and am laughing just thinking about it. That would be absolute torture for me.

The voice mail says personal health issue for the closure, nothing about remodeling, so who knows what is it?!
