can anyone update the progress? Temporary wall up in June and looked between the partitions when equipment was moved in/out and it looked fairly large. Would like to watch nfl this fall if possible. Thanks for any info.

I was there a week ago and it looked like business as usual. I didn't notice any construction near the sports book. Only construction going on that i saw on 2nd floor was one of the restaurants between MSS & Cal was being redone.

Yeah. The construction I was curious about was actually downstairs on the wall opposite the Redwood grill. Lots of plywood with a drawing / painted letters asking for pardons on the inconvenience and to look for the SB in the near future. Again going in September and will check it out. Thanks for the response though.
I sure hope those double ipa's at MSS weren't hallucinogenic in nature. But if so guess I'll just have to have a couple / four more.

Some beer geeks knock the MSS brews but I've got to say their brewers choice IPA's stack up with the best out there.

bubba, we will be there next week, I'll try to post some pics. Are you referring to the exterior wall by the players club booth?

The wall running perpendicular to Main Street between Las Vegas club and cal. No big deal really but it looked to be sizable and a good sports book downtown (boyd) would be great. Thanks ty.

Walked by today. Get there early, it looks real nice. I didn't ask when it will open. The bar does have bartop machines.

Great pics, thanks. We were there in early Aug and it was just a plasterboard wall. Looks good. I spend an increasing amount of time in there, though we have never stayed there--yet.

Thanks for the update. Simply the number of screens makes it a great improvement over the old book. Will check out MNF the 12th if seating is available. Finally someone improved something other than a club or restaurant ....

Bungadin, thanks for the pics! It looks nice. I am guessing that it will get crowded on Sundays in the fall!

Thanks for the pics. Guess it is located where the megabucks machines were.

Too bad, I rather the first floor be more open, I like to see across the floor but this sports book will now cut off the view across the room IMHO. Don't think many of us will use the sports book anyway, more people will play machines than use the sports book.

I wished that they had put that sports book set up on the 2nd floor where they had the old sports book. That area wasn't well travelled so it would have been a nice area to hang out, watch a game and make bets. I'm not looking forward to the big sports parties blocking the ground floor and making a lot of noise, but that is JMHO. Not sure how machine players would like to hear all that noise during the games.
