I recently stayed at MSS, for a total of 2 nights, booked at rack rate. I hadn't stayed there in probably 6 years so my history of play was essentially nada.

I was just able to check my points/play on B Connected. In my time there (11am Sunday to 1pm Tuesday), I totaled 21,700pts, playing exclusively VP (single line at the bar for .25, and nickel super times pay...either 5 or 10 play).

The hotel comped the 2 nights on the way out, and also the $40 or so in room charges (food). During my time there, I also asked the host there for 3 comps. One for the breakfast buffet (for 2 people), and two $30 comps for the 777. I was given those with no problem.

Got a mailing offer today for 3 free nights anytime between now and November 1, and 4 free buffet coupons.

I know people like specifics about comps. That's about as specific as I can get. :)

    Good information with details.
Did you go to the host at Players Club to get the 2 nights comped or was the hotel clerk able to do that?

Just curious as to how many hours you played per day? ~$10k/day coin-in on single line quarters or 5/10 line nickels sounds like it would take awhile...

Geez I'm not sure about how many hours. I play pretty FAST.....although there's the waiting for the scratch cards which slows me down. Maybe on my next trip I'll keep track of my actual playing time

I didn't keep track of exactly how many I got, but I can estimate pretty close. I would say I cashed in about $75 worth of scratch cards while I was there. I never got one that was above the minimum amount ($1 for nickels, $2 for quarters). My friend got a $3 one so I know they exist. In one session (about 3-4 hours at the 5 hand nickel machine) I cashed in 24 cards.

Thanks for the information. I and others appreciate the detail you provided to get your comps. Wow, 21k points for about a 2 day stay. I'm lucky to accrue 4k points for my 1 week stay. I usually play craps and don't play the machines that much (mostly mega and WOF and some VP). For VP I usually put in $20 or $40 and when it is gone I go elsewhere or do other things.

So how did you do for those nights? Made money or "donated" it back to the casino?
What kind of budget did you have? Just wondering.

Yes, for the amount of play that you put in I'm sure that MSS wants your business. They probably want you to stay longer too, kidding.

Hey makikiboy did you used to be on LVA or am I imagining that?

I've got a trip report up on this board, and on LVA. But basically when I got there for the first couple hours I couldn't lose, got up a couple hundred. The rest of that day was a train wreck. I was saved the next morning when I got the progressive royal for $1048 at the Boar's Head bar....then the rest of the trip was playing even. I'd say that I was probably even, or maybe $200 up or down. I ended up with about $75 in scratchers, and didn't pay for the room or any food (for both my friend and I) so that's a very successful trip

Yup, I was on LVA before but left when it became more of a political place.

Wow, great that you were only up or down around $200. To me that's a winning trip. I usually budget about $300 a day - $1500 for a 5 day trip for gambling and other expenses like meals and other things (strip clubs, lol) so if I were only up or down around $200 that would be a winner for me.

Yeah I haven't been on the paid side of LVA for a long time. I drop in the free forum once in a while....but I got to the point where I knew everything I needed to know about going to Vegas, and I can get political arguments anywhere these days. I'm facebook friends with some of the old guard of LVA though. For a long time I was Bowzer1972 on LVA, then I switched to Campion or CaptCampion.

As far as budgeting for a trip, this one was pretty easy. Since it's just my buddy and I, and we don't need a fancy show or dinner or anything, pretty much 99% of the trip budget goes to gambling. I'm going back in a month (staying at Southpoint on a 4-night comp in the 1500sqft suite, lol) for a convention with my wife. That one I'll have to put aside more money for food and drinks (the convention stuff is at the Venetian).

Yeah for sure an "even" trip is a winning trip. I paid for no food, no drinks, and the room was free. And I used flight miles for the airline ticket. Sweet.
