Hi Everyone. I am just a bit confused on how payouts are to craps, I try to look it up and I get different numbers all around What would the pass line payout odds be for these numbers 4 - 5- 6- 8- 9- 10- Then what would the max allowable odds increments for pass line wagers on the following numbers 4- 5- 6- 8- 9- 10- I get confused on the different numbers
An odds bet for the pass line pays 2 to 1 on the four and ten, 3 to 2 on the five and nine, and 6 to 5 on the six and eight. As for the max odds bet on a pass line wager, it depends on what the table offers. Most Vegas strip casinos let you bet three times your pass line bet on a point of 4 or 10, four times on a point of 5 or 9, and five times on a point of 6 or 8. Some tables have better odds, but 3x4x5x odds is the most common on the Vegas strip

The max allowable odds depends on what kind of table you are playing on. Many strip casinos have 3x4x5 odds. Other casinos only have 2x odds (downtown the Cal and Fremont). Other casinos offer 10x odds and places like MSS offers 20x odds. Check the table to see what kind of odds the casino offers, you can also ask the pit crew for more assistance with odds. Also remember that the pass line payouts and odds payouts are the same for come bets. UK gave you general pass line payouts but another part of the game is making place bets which have different odds. And then there are other options like buying a number. You may want to consider taking one of those crap lessons that many casinos offer, then you can ask all the questions and actually get some experience playing the game (they usually open up the table for play after the lessons end). As others mentioned, there are a number of sites and you can also ask the many "experienced" crap players on this site but nothing really can prepare you for the game until you actually step up and start to put money on the table.
