At nighttime, we like to bounce around the strip and check out different bars before sitting down at the tables sometime around 1 or 2am. Once we find one to our liking early in the evening, we can easily spend 4 or 5 hours there. I love the atmosphere of the piano bar at NYNY as well as Carnaval Court. I'm looking for some more places with that kind of vibe. The following are pluses: -live music -some outdoor space -a lively crowd -games such as shuffleboard, darts, pong, etc I've never been to a *club* but based on the clientele I've seen going into and out of them, it doesn't seem like I'd want to spend a ton of time there. I'm intrigued by the Sin City Club Crawl as I've heard nothing but good things. If it turns out that the club(s) sucks, at least we didn't wait in line for two hours to find out. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
The Budweiser Beer Park @ Paris sounds like it may fit the bill...if you can handle Budweiser being the go-to beer. I believe it's all outdoors, and has games. I haven't been but plan on checking it out when I'm there in 2 weeks.
I haven't been there, but I think I read somewhere a few months back that they add an automatic service and entertainment charge to every bill. Just be forewarned
Although Im sure the place is entertaining, I saw their Bud Light prices when I was there last week...no thanks. Cant even imagine what a real beer costs.
Okay, sorry for the multi-posts. Anyways, I think this place may fit you well... https://www.caesars.com/linq/promenade/things-to-do/american#.V3bLgfkwiM8 They also have a Groupon for $25 for all you can drink beer and wells although Im not sure what beers are and arent included. https://www.groupon.com/deals/american-bar and http://www.americanbeerbar.com/
Go to Ballys or Harrahs and take the free Rio Shuttle to Rio and open air outdoor rooftop lounge the VooDoo.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, keep them coming! Beer Park and AmeriCAN definitely sound like places I'd enjoy. I've never been downtown but maybe this trip. Voodoo is a must each trip, I love the feel of the open air up there.
The new Beerhaus in the park in between NYNY and Monte Carlo fits the bill. I have not been here yet but I plan on checking it out in September. They have live music, an outdoor patio and bar games. https://www.theparkvegas.com/en/restaurants/beerhaus.html
I was JUST going to recommend the Beerhaus but Irish beat me to it. Also, inside the NYNY the circle bar has a good vibe at night. But it's a dj, not live music.
Good stuff guys. All of the things I mentioned as pluses would be great, but definitely not a dealbreaker if a place doesn't have all of them. As long as the beer is cold and the sun is shining, I'm good.
I totally get the question! I like to go solo to Vegas and also look for this type of places. On the Strip: The Pub at Monte Carlo Had some hilarious nights here. But there was also a lot of drinking involved (and great company), so I can't say if I would enjoy it as much without that much alcohol. Also, when I was there they had a piano show, like the one at NY-NY (and there was also a myVegas reward for it, $100 bar credit and VIP seating I think it was), but I don't think they do that anymore. They still have live events though, but I don't know on which nights (on the website I only saw a live event on Fridays, but I'm not sure if I over-looked something). They also have a wide variety of beers. https://www.montecarlo.com/en/restaurants/the-pub.html Napoleon's Dueling Piano Lounge at Paris Another dueling piano bar. I always enjoy it, but I have only seen it from outside through the windows (with a free casino drink in my hand), so can't tell anything about the drinks or service etc, just always a good vibe in there and lively crowd. https://www.caesars.com/paris-las-vegas/shows/napoleans-dueling-pianos-lounge#.V3jrYriLS00 The Piano Bar at Harrah's Very entertaining show with the famous Twins. Lively crowd. They also do karaoke here. https://www.caesars.com/harrahs-las-vegas/things-to-do/the-piano-bar#.V3jrsriLS00 Rockstar Karaoke at House of Blues Crossroads, Mandalay Bay (on Fridays) I have not been here yet, but want to check it out coming trip in a few months. http://www.houseofblues.com/lasvegas/events/eventdetail/?viewNav=/event-detail&eventId=&oid=13165 Off-Strip: Karaoke bar at Ellis Island I have not been here yet, but want to check it out coming trip in a few months. http://ellisislandcasino.com/entertainment/karaoke/ Latin Night with Claudine Castro at East Side Cannery Hotel & Casino (on Mondays) Very nice evening and entertaining show. A lot of people dancing when the band performs. Lots of locals. I'm only not sure if it is still happening at East Side Cannery, cause I can't find anything about it on their website (again: but maybe I over-looked it). http://www.eastsidecannery.com/ http://www.salsalasvegas.com/latinnights/index1.html DownTown: Thirsty 3rd Thursday pub crawl I have done this a couple of times and had a blast every time! Great atmosphere and all types and ages of people join the crawl. Also lot of couples and people above 40. Anyway, you can't go wrong with this deal, cause $20 get's you 6 free drinks (at 6 different bars) and half off one appetizer and one entree. The pub crawl is every 3rd Thursday of the month. http://www.hennesseyslasvegas.com/fliers/f_pub_crawl.jpg Don’t Tell Mama I have not been here yet, but want to check it out coming trip in a few months. http://www.donttellmama.com/Dont_Tell_Mama/About.html
