Looks like the best $25 shoe game on the strip seems to be at Ballys. In the high limit area at Ballys they have two tables with the following rules.
    6 deck shoe
    3 to 2 BJ
    Stand on soft 17
    Double down after split allowed
    Can re-split Aces
This has been available during the day and in the evenings.

If someone knows of better rules for a $25 game, please let me know.

I've only seen those rules at the $50 level at MGM. Do you know if they allow Surrender?

As of a month ago, this game did allow surrender. Also, there are times when this game has a $50 limit.

Last time I was at Bally's (about six months ago), all of their shoe games offered late surrender - even the $15 8-deck H17 games on the main floor.

HL is a bit of a loose term at Ballys. Just sayin.

TI has a $25 DD game in their HL room with awesome rules and great penetration and all hand shuffle (some folks don't trust the auto shuffler they put the deck into after the yellow card comes out.) pit boss watches this game hard. They are always very accommodating here. First few hands were bad and I was granted a re-shuffle. Drink service is quick in the HL at TI.

For all you low rollers like me the best game was the El Cortez single deck hand dealt no DAS (double after split) $5 Minimum bet.
OK the double deck game sometimes $3 allows double after split, however the house edge is slightly lower on the single deck game, even with the no DAS rule variation. .19%. That's less than one fifth of one percent.
    Other stupid games.

    Their ad reads:

Split-second decisions. Doubling down, and doubling up. The adrenaline rush of the card flip, before you see that beautiful, beautiful twenty-one.

That’s the unparalleled thrill of the El Cortez’s six-time Best of Las Vegas-winning full pay 3-2 single and double deck Blackjack.

    • 3:2 Payoffs
    • $5 minimums – Single Deck BJ
    • $25-$1,000 Single Deck Blackjack
    • Double Deck – Dealt face-up out of a shoe
    • Royal Match – Single Deck:
      • 3X bet on suited pairs
      • 10X on suited K,Q
    • Royal Match – Double Deck:
      • 2.5X bet on suited pairs
    • 25X bet on suited K,Q
Ben Sez, I wonder what the rules on the "Royal Match" Blackjack are?

Royal Match is just a side bet (sucker bet) on almost all the regular blackjack tables....

thanks. I thought it was some kind of gimmick for suckers. Too bad even the old El Co has to get in on that stuff. Kind of like the fire bet on Craps at various casinos. Oh well Ben Jammin said it, "If I had a nickle for every sucker out there I'd never have to work a day in my life".

True Ben. But I look at it like this: Those sucker side bets at BJ maybe make enough for the house to allow them to keep their BJ games at 3:2 and benefit from more players coming in to specifically play those 3:2 games. If that is the case then I am all for sucker bet subsidies..... :peace::beer:

I love the high limit room at ballys - hardly ever crowded - right in front of TV. - and good drink service - goes without saying its nothing fancy

    Mike...I'm one of them!
Not all the time or anything, and I very rarely play the 'Royal Match' bet... but when I play blackjack at the Boyd casinos, I waste some $1s on the 'Lucky Ladies' sucker-bet...so long as both Queens (of hearts) are still in play.

(PS - I also play the lottery every now & then...play the 'pair-plus' on 3-card & the 'trips' bet on UTH... knowing full-well that all of them are 'house' bets... I just find them fun...it's my 'guilty-pleasure' indulgence when I'm in Vegas!)

I never play the sucker bets, but last December, while playing at the Gold Coast (where you can still touch the cards playing $10 3/2 DD), my friend on 3rd base tossed me a dollar to play and I hit the Lucky Ladies top payout (which was relatively meaningless in dollar terms). It then took 45 minutes to pay me the $1K, which I suspect was because security wanted to make sure it was legit since I hadn't been playing it.

I was in last night and it was still $25 min. I would agree, definitely not a fancy high limit area. But, with those rules at this low minimum, I would play there all the time.

I am still looking to find any other casinos that offer comparable rules at $25 or less, on or off strip. Can anybody make any suggestions?

Trust me, instead of a stack of gaming chips, imagine pulling out a $20 bill out from your wallet (or multiples of ) each time you make a bet. It would definitely look like HL then !! lol

When I was at Bally's last week, on a Wednesday night, they had $10 blackjack, 6-deck shoe, paying 3:2, DAS, surrender allowed. Didn't see the rest of the rules, but it was a good start!
