I don't know if this is right place to post this, but I has a question:

How does inside of Miracle Mile Shops at PH still has a Arabian theme left from old Aladdin (miss that no-longer-exist resort) Resort & Casino's mall, Desert Passage? It is supposed to be L.A. themed mall, not Arabian themed. Why? Are they too lazy to renovate that mall completely? While other areas of mall has been renovated to L.A. theme, this area of mall is not. But it looks very beautiful, anyway.

    Look:

If it is still like that, I definitely didn't notice the last time I was in there.

We walk through each trip and look at it more of a unique theme to set themselves apart from being a typical mall.
If people didn't know the history to associate it with the old Aladdin hotel/casino they would look at it from the perspective of it being simply a different design.

Yeah I think I just didn't notice anything at all above the storefront level. I usually like to get in and get out. I'll have to check it out next week.

My guess is that with the financial woes at CET coupled with their remodeling of other properties the theme of Miracle Mile probably isn't too high on their to do list at the moment. :peace::beer:

Is it indeed owned by CET?

Not owned by CET and it would be a huge investment and disruption to change.
Anecdotally it has been very busy the last couple weekends I was there.
    Why mess with it?

I always thought the theme was Mexican. Is Lobster Me still there?

Last time in the mall there, my wife had a bad experience with one of those skin-care spa shop ladies that "hawk" you to try their products. This little lady harassed my wife by telling her that she needed these products because her skin looked tired and old. Not a good sales pitch, right? As she followed us down the mall it became more awkward but in a way a little funny since she was not very fluent with her English. I'm actually surprised my redhead wife didn't make a huge scene and smear that cream and stuff on the poor lady's face!

Well, not all of it has the old theme. But as to why some of it still does, what would the return on investment be of de-theming?

You'd have to negotiate closing/moving rent paying businesses while you renovated, spend tens of millions on the construction, and you would gain what? Are people not shopping there because of mixed themes?

Unless there is an opportunity for big new tenants, or the old ones start failing/leaving, there is very little reason to spend money changing things.

Lobster Me is still there, I walked by it last night. Love that place, will be eating there this week. As for the "theme" I honestly don't even notice it and I am in that mall every trip.

They can do what ever they want as long as they leave Fat Tuesdays there.

I don't think they have de-themed any of the mall. The area where the thunderstorm occurs still has the same theme. The mall is one of the reasons I think the wife and I enjoy staying at PHO. Walking through the mall is a nice break from the casino and the ABC stores are spaced perfectly when I need that next cold beverage.

I accidentally saw the storm last time I was in there. Had no idea they had that.

Tough to police the Las Vegas themed resorts. Are properties such as the Luxor, Excaliber, or TI really keeping to their themes 100%?? I stayed at the Aladdin as my very first resort many years ago... and I never noticed that the mall area was still that theme. Not really sure it mattered to me that much.
