I am going to Vegas in early September and need some help deciding a CET property for the first portion. I have an offer for 3 free nights at the properties listed above. Caesars Palace would be included but one of the nights is blacked out.
I am mostly an Mlife slot player and know next to nothing about CET. The things that are important to me are a decent sports book, cheap food options, good slot selection, good craft beer, laid back and relaxed pool area. I am a young 34 year old and I tend to relate to a younger demographic.
So what say you? Who can help me make up my mind? Thanks in advance! I should mention this part of my trip I will also be solo.

Then I'd certainly rule out Paris, for one thing.

    Another vote for Pho!
Wife and I just stayed there, in their CHEAPEST room (Hollywood Hip) and we think it's the best "basic" CET room we've ever had!!

PHo is getting a lot of love so far but The Linq would be worth a look for you too. Younger demographic, good vibe, and the TAG Sports bar has a good craft beer selection. Have stayed at Linq several times and always had a great time. Plus the central location on the strip and proximity to the Linq promenade is hard to beat. Rooms are all very new and though a bit small are nicely appointed.

This is a great point. Because PHo is a full star above many basic CET rooms, their basic rooms are basically equivalent to an upgraded room at many Caesars owned properties.

Thanks for all the opinions. Paris is out. I am going to choose between PHo and The Linq. I keep hearing about TAG sports bar. I have to definitely check that out no matter what.

PHo is loud and hectic at night. If you position yourself just right, you can simultaneously hear a DJ and a rock band. Too loud for my old self. It gets crazy in there at night.

Planet Ho plus you have the Cosmo across the street. Best vibe on the strip even in the daytime. Check out the pool. Awesome cocktails.

PH has better music but Linq has better beer.

Another vote for Planet Ho. We will be there Monday for a quick 3 nighter and can't wait. We are of the older classic rock set but love the vibe 24 hours a day. Good music throughout and that is something we go for also to help our gaming time. Also have a pretty nice sports book if you are into football betting...................Rick

Another vote for Planet Hollywood. It is our favorite place to stay and the sports book is right across from an Earl of Sandwich for cheap eats and just steps from an ABC store for cheap drinks.

I am a PH fan but their basic room can be a dog--nowhere near a Caesars Forum Tower (which is fine, if nondescript). Then again their basic room could be comparable to a CP Forum Tower room as well--have had both...perhaps you are comparing PH to the old Roman Tower at CP, in which case you would be right but they have now been renovated.

Additionally, Paris is the ONLY of the 3 that has live music at Cabarat bar every night. I like to play VP at the bar right there. The music can vary greatly from 1960s-today--typically songs we all know.

You can find great slots everywhere--Vegas' bread & butter.

Best rooms--LINQ: small but nicely done, great for 1
Best pool--Paris; but PH will likely have more eye candy, and also be livlier
Best sportsbook--PH (per DH, of your 3 choices); but LINQ is right across the street from Mirach which is DH's fav
Best craft beer selection--LINQ, hands down--TAG bar has a huge selection
Best cheap food choices--PH & LINQ have plenty close by
Best casino--I like vibe at both PH & LINQ; music is fun at both. I like table games at PH, VP at LINQ--bartenders at both bars are friendly & fun. Slots probably more fun at PH (sry not a slot player)
    Best live music--Paris

Tough choice...good news is that they are all close enough together that you can walk to other places.

I'm not a big fan of the PH casino which is why I haven't stayed there in awhile. IMO, their non-renovated basic rooms are garbage....dark and ugly. The newly renovated ones look pretty nice though, so I'll probably give those a shot.

I do like some of the food choices; Strip House, Planet Dailies, and Earl are all good.

For what you're looking for OP, I would choose the Linq, but I like PH less than most posters here.

For solo you would be ok in a Linq room (decor is basically Ikea style) - but if you go back & have a companion it would start to feel a bit more cramped.

If you do decide you would like a bit of quiet time in a sports book area or want to get away from the rest for a while - check out Paris's sports book. It's a bit darker and quieter which at times can be a plus. Plenty of seating - bar right next to it. No close food though, while PH has pizza & Earl right next to it - very convenient.

Linq sports book is right next to the traffic stream coming in from Carnaval Court. I placed a couple of bets there & was given drink tickets right away. I was heading back to Paris though, so I handed them out to someone sitting there. No grab & go food close (there is snack food in the small convenience shop across the traffic path) - you would have to go to back of casino or out to Linq alley.

Ballys sports book is back in the walkway to the monorail but large - I have seen it very crowded & active at times. Food court directly across the hall. Seems popular.
