Just wanting some honest opinions and any helpful information for our upcoming stay at The Linq. We normally stay at MC, Caesar's and long ago would stay at NYNY. We wanted to give The Linq a try since it's a good location for things we like to do....and I had a comped room to use for a couple of nights. We play poker tourneys and 3 card poker. We also have someone with us this time that plays slots. I guess my fear of the unknown has me a little worried and this is a trip to celebrate our daughter's 21st birthday. Any reviews of The Linq or helpful hints about the place are appreciated!

I've stayed. And loved it. Can't tell you anything about poker, but the location is awesome. Every day we would find ourselves having walked to a different restaurant or a different part of the Strip or one of the neighboring properties. It was close to pretty much everything. As you've probably heard, the rooms are small, but there were three of us in room and we never felt crowded.

The Linq is great if you are looking for a place that is a good value for the money and that has a really energetic vibe. My wife and I have stayed there several times and really enjoy it both for the casino as well as the central location on the strip.

Yea, I second The Linq. I had some friends stay there and they enjoyed it. Central location, young vibe, great snacking / food options. You can't go wrong.

Thanks for the info!! Did your room have a fridge?? I believe the representative I spoke to when booking our room referred to it as a 'deluxe room'. I assume just the standard room since it was comped.

The center strip location is hard to beat, especially when the room is comped. The casino and other areas have been redone, so it's pretty clean and modern looking. Last time we stayed, we noticed it was mainly younger crowds.

We had a good experience - we got "upgraded" to a Luxury King - which is about the size of any other normal size room in Vegas - meaning, I think the rooms are on the smaller size overall. You may want to consider upgrading if your comp is for a standard room.

The room we had was nicely done and the bathroom was fine for two people. There is a closet in the rooms, but no door - only a curtain, which is odd at first, but it's a closet and you're in Vegas, so it's more quirky than anything else.

The elevators are notoriously slow - use the back bank of elevators and the wait should be less (a quick search on VMB will give you background on this)

Overall, it's a decent property due to it's location and modern upgrades. Unless you're expecting spacious rooms or 5 star restaurants/amenities, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property.

Yes to the fridge. That's all we had - a deluxe room (which as someone mentioned is the regular room). It was nothing fancy, but it was well-appointed and did the job.

I did a review of my stay at Linq that may be helpful. What I will say, which is what everyone is saying, great location, decent small room for a reasonable price, good food options in the immediate area. My first choice is Wynncore. But if I'm on a tight budget or the rates are very high then I would stay at Linq without a doubt.

Oh yeah, take the back elevators!

Forgot to mention we also spent an afternoon at the Linq pool. Interestingly enough, the day we were at the pool a reality show came in and set up right next to our day bed and filmed for 4 hours. We found ourselves on TV a few months later.

Anyway, not to digress, as the rest of the hotel, the pool has been redone and our experience was good. The service was attentive and the day beds were reasonably priced. The pool is on the smaller side and it becomes shaded rather early in the afternoon due to its location surrounded by each of the hotel towers. No reason not to check it out.

DH & I have stayed at LINQ once before & are going to stay there again--even opted out of Paris Red Room to stay at LINQ. Why? Well, we are at Cosmo 1st 2 nights, originally booked Ballys but realized I prefer a bit more north for good poker tournaments! Mirage & TI have the best structure on the Strip for lower priced tourneys, so LINQ is a great location for getting to those!
I do not recommend more than 2 in a room--it could be pretty cozy! In a standard room the bath is only big enough for one, unless one is in the shower; due to where the toilet is you really couldn't have 2 at the counter at once.
Funny, we never noticed the elevators to be slow...
