I've tried to use them a few times, but the tickets they offered for their discount were pretty far back. I like being up close at most shows and don't mind paying a bit of a premium (and occasionally full price) to get great seats. I like the discount brokers and deals that show you your exact seats, pre-purchase, so you can see what you're getting. I've had some luck snagging some great seats with Travelzoo and SmarterVegas, but it didn't work out for Tix4Tonight. Your experience, of course, may vary.

Tix4Dinner has some really, really good deals. 25% off of Hugo's Cellar. 30% off of Oscars. Can't buy downtown restaurants at the downtown Tix4Tonight locations however. 25% off Top of Binion's. There are some crappy restaurants as well, and some other very, very good restaurants, deeply discounted.

I drive to Circus Circus for two reasons. Tix4Tonight, and their steakhouse. Get there at the correct tie, and no lines.

Does anyone know if there is a better time of day to go in line?? Is it when they open? I didn't know if sometimes the shows and restaurants release special prices later in the day when they see that they have many open seats and little reservations.

You do want to go as close to open as possible. Shows already know what seats they need to move and I don't think they will release more later. The trick is finding a location that won't get a long line.

I think these booths used to be very much worth it, but these days the value (for shows) is waning somewhat, because there are other sources of discount tickets, and the web makes them easier to find.

I often find now that the tix4tonite discount rate is very comparable to the discount rate you can get elsewhere. And between the line and the whole showing up an hour in advance of showtime to get actual ticket, it can be a tad annoying.

So now it depends show to show. The food deals are mostly good, but only if you wanted to dine at those places anyway.

+1. I have generally found that the discount rate for a show is the rate, and does not really vary based on demand. Tix4Tonite gets X vouchers per day to sell for a given show at a given price. Going later only reduces the chance of getting a ticket.

yeah I haven't had a good experience. Same price for Zumanity and Absinthe I could have got online including fees. It was hot and sucked standing in line.

    It's been awhile.

DH and I were walking by and had stopped to look. It was not busy and the worker talked us into purchasing a 50% off Steak House at Harrahs, I don't recall the price, I don't remember the name. He called the steakhouse and ensured our reservation and window seat for that evening. It was a great value, and I was so looking forward to purchasing the same deal the next year-it was so delicious and the atmosphere and service was fantastic. The steakhouse was no longer in existence when we returned....DAM!

As Nevyn said above there are a lot of sources for discount tickets. Casinos know well ahead of time which days they will have empty seats and about how many. That's why certain shows are discounted on sites like Travelzoo, Goldstar, Groupon, etc... T4T is another option but it used to be the only option. Not anymore.

We've used Tix4Tonite just about every trip and have always been satisfied.

I guess it also makes a difference as to when you're actually in town.
T4T worked well for us, but we were also there during the week right before labour day, which isn't exactly the most busy time on the Strip.
I'm assuming its not so good when its busy.
