    I heard last year that hooters had been bought out. is it still open, and if so when is it due to close?

    thanks for the info, I Googled it but could only see information about it around the time if the initial sale.
    how do things like this work, will whoever buys it out sit on their hands for a year or so before changing it? I'm just confused that hooters sold it and it's still trading as hooters

    What happens and when is anyone's guess. The planning process can take some time. How long they can continue using Hooters name was probably spelled out at the time of the sale. Of course they are paying a fee of some kind for the privilege.

    I had an almost four-hour layover recently so I took a quick ride to Hooters to lose some money.

    The casino as it exists now is certainly acceptable. Clean, not cluttered, bright... I am not sure why people seem to be down on it. Granted, I did nothing but cram a gambling session so I can't speak for the rooms or restaurant, but I didn't have problems with sticky buttons or faded screens on the slots or video poker, and the craps crew knew what they were doing.

    It's been about 5 or 6 years since I stayed there, but Hooters' hotel always had bad AC in the towers public areas and the elevators were kind of weird. IMO, the Hooter's rebrand was much better than the San Remo and didn't really increase the rates.

    Do they still wear those orange shorts? That was always a deal breaker for me I'm afraid.

    That is the brand.

    Though I believe only the waitresses wore them. Dealers all wore blue oxfords or polo shirts and slacks.

    just intrigued as to whether anyone has any information on plans for Hooters? It was sold in 2015 and various rumours were around at the time as to what may happen but it appears to still be no change. Anyone seen anything? We always pop in, since San Remo days for a while so wondered what we will find this time around......

    Hooters = still hanging around!

    Didn't get that far on our last trip. For some reason my bride is not a big fan of stopping there...

    It's truly one of the last "themed" casino/hotels left in Vegas. And in case you haven't figured out what their theme is- it's boobs

    They recently remodeled their rooms. They look pretty nice. More of a modern look. I was there last year and had a good time playing. I ended up earning enough points to get a bunch of free hooters gear.
