Annoying things people have personally done to you at a Casino?

I cashed out my winnings because I wanted to "park" or save my extra money and continue playing from my bankroll. I had a $50 dollar bankroll, lots of great hits came up at $1 a hit and I got up to $300, including my $50 bankroll. I cashed out my $300 and "parked" the $250. I was planning on going back to the winning machine and the older gentleman was already on it. Mind you, this is literally one minute later!

 

If you get up from the machine it is fair game.

 

That's when I'd be tempted to stand up and while looking straight at her yell really loud "MAM, WHAT DID YOU SAY? I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" and keep repeating...of course, I'd never really do that, but.......

 

I believe slot etiquette is:
A). Cash out but leave card in machine, lean your chair up against the machine, hurry back, and hope for the best.
B). Press the call attendant button and ask attendant to watch your machine for a minute - the times I've done this I tip a few bucks, but not required.
It sucks when someone gets on your intended machine, but maybe better karma awaits you on a different machine...

 

This happened to me as well at a machine. I didn't even know what to say.

 

Thanks Geo. I am also thinking that that is what I should have done, tip the chair over, put a card in the machine, or call an Employee to watch the machine for me. The older gentleman telling me "You left no money in the machine!" is actually a bad idea as I have said before, scumbags have stolen money when I left it in the machine to prove I am still on it when I step away from the machine.

 

I know I told this before.

Years ago at the old Bluffs Run when it was a racino before turning into Horseshoe I started to play a machine on the upper level and this lady who weighed about twice as much as me with half as many teeth said she was playing it. She was standing and kinda surfing between 3 or so dropping a quarter in one and moving to another.

I semi-politely pointed out the "One machine per person when requested" sign and she went ballistic! F-bombs and cursing like a drunken sailor. Shaking her fist at me and such.
I just kinda slithered away down the escalator.

 

DMR, oh my God, that's so sad! I feel so sorry she did that to you!

 

I hate those morons that knock on the machine glass before they push the spin button on the slot machine..like thats going to improve your luck

 

If I need to leave the machine for a couple minutes I cash out, leave my card in, and put something on the chair, like an ashtray. This seems to be understood in AC. Sometimes I might ask a friendly player next to me to watch the machine for a minute and I'll be right back. If I come upon a machine that simply has the players card in with no other signs of being taken, I assume the last person to play forgot their card and will take it out and play the machine.

 

You are absolutely smart to never leave money in the machine unattended.
I must have an honest face, because I cannot count the times a perfect stranger sitting next to me asks me to keep an eye on his/her machine so they can run to the restroom/etc and they leave their money in the machine! I always oblige, but nervous til they get back.

 

That irritates me too kiddo!

Playing VP at the bar at Trop last year, a lady sat beside me with Theresa Caputo fingernails and rapped those things constantly on the machine. I had to leave before I reached over to cut those damn things off.

 

I had a lady sitting next to me who had her card on one of those coiled telephone cord type lanyards. When she left the machine, she did not take her card out of the slot. The lanyard stretched out yanking the card out of the slot and hitting me in the face. She kept on walking like nothing happened.

 

Hope it wasn't me! I have done that more times than I can count. Lol It usually hits me though!

 

Thanks Geo for understanding why I stopped leaving money in the machine to prove I am still on it. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!

 

I doubt it, hehe. She was an older lady, looked much older than you do in your avatar. Guessing a woman's age is dangerous territory for us guys, though .

Don't sit next to someone smoking and then glare and fake-cough and clutch your chest.

 

If I looked like my avatar, I would be seeing a doctor . Actually, it is a character from the Star Trek series and that is probably a multihour makeup job.

 

Yep - I've seen that happen along with the ridiculous hand waving clearing the air - geez, some folks! Non smoker here but let's show show some respect and restraint or move along...
