    Per Robin Leach's Twitter feed:

Sad news JERSEY BOYS, the musical story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, will end its record-breaking Vegas run Sept 18 @ Paris hotel

Loved this show. Saw it at the Palazzo. If you haven't seen it yet, by all means, try to do so before the closing.

I thought it was very good. It's had a nice long run. When I was there a couple of years ago the place was only half full so I guess it's time has come.

Seen it twice now and it was excellent, both times. However, if it's run its course ...

It was good, but I never understood why it overshadowed Million Dollar Quartet. They both appear to be shows aimed at the same demographic and I enjoyed MDQ much more. Perhaps it will get the spotlight it deserves once Jersey Boys closes.

It's a matter of personal opinion of course but one reason is probably that Frankie Valli is still alive and performing regularly. And at 82, he still puts on a good show (saw him 2 years ago).

I have seen both twice, loved both. I have a slight preference for JB however.

The writing was on the wall for that show once the movie came out and people could see it whenever they wanted to.

I've seen it 3x first in 2009 with the husband and couple other friends, at the Venetian or Palazoo, then last yr twice at Paris, in January and in April Loved all 3 times Hopefully another amazing show will be born in the theatre!

We saw it this past week. I had seen the show a few years ago. Didn't enjoy it as much this year, can't really say why. Maybe lackluster performances to a 3/4 full theatre? I am not surprised the run is ending.

This is probably a show that will go away for 2-3 years and then reappear at another venue.

There is going to be a limit on how long a Broadway show can run, especially one that will tour and then be done over and over by community theaters. Jersey Boys actually had a nice long run, especially since it didn't seem like they got the right support at Venetian and since it sounds like Paris didn't have the best theater for them. It may get revived but there is probably something else they can bring in from NYC that will generate more buzz.

I'm assuming that a number of years after it closes at the August Wilson and the touring company winds down, they will have a big Jersey Boys Revival, which will probably be much better received than many of the "revivals" are.

One of our favorite shows. Just bought front row seats to the final performance on September 18th. Should be an emotional night for the cast, looking forward to sharing the experience with them.

The first show I ever saw in Vegas. Told my wife that what happens in Vegas stays there but she went and told everyone that I went to and enjoyed a musical anyway.

I wonder if the rumours of 'Wicked' coming to Vegas for an extended run are true? I guess with some tweaking it could fit into the Paris theatre.
