Club dress code question

Hey guys. I'm going to Vegas in October for a fan fest. One of the things that comes with the ticket is an open bar at Paris' club Saturday night. I've never been to a Vegas club, but I was reading over the dress code, and there was something that caught my eye.
It says no sneakers/tennis shoes. The problem I have is that I was in a bad wreck a while back, and it's hard for me to wear anything other than tennis shoes. I get why they do it. People have crazy expensive ones, and they don't want to be liable if someone messes them up. And, I'm sure some gangs have cretin ones they wear. Well, the ones I have are a pair of gray Nikes. Nothing special about them except they help me walk.

So, do you think I would be able to go into the club with them? I could wear boots, but not sure if my ankle would like me the next day.

 

As far as I know, disallow tennis shoes because of "dress to impress" not liability.

This is one I would call in advance about. I'm not a club-goer but I find the club crowd fascinating and often watch them in and out of I have a view from the casino. I have seen many a person turned away for inappropriate clothing, especially men, and this most certainly involves footwear.

 

The reason they don't allow tennis shoes is that they generally find people who wear tennis shoes undesirable. I feel sympathy for your situation, but don't expect the guy holding the velvet rope to feel the same.

 

This has happened to a friend - he was turned away after standing in line for more than an hour. No sneakers, no shorts, no muscle shirts. ALDO has some very comfortable black shoes for men - check out TOMS black synthetic leather. Remember - a good impression starts from a good pair of shoes

 

first off if your talking about chatue the club suxs,

second ive never has a problem in nice sneakers .

but ymmv


try john varvotos converse usualy u wont have a problem with them or very upscale sneakers go for black no lace slip on , no jordans or stuff like that

the biggest thing they look for is colorard shirt first.

vegas nite cub doormen woudnt know what good dress is is if it feel on them

 

if u have a medical resaon contact the club a head of time theres a law called the ada act. they cant not let you in becuase of your disabled and cant get into shoes.,speak to the mgr.

 

ps hyde is very lax on there dress code,

chattuea should be happy anyone goes there at all

 

Yeah, I'm going there because it's free booze. It's an open bar for everyone going to the meet.

And, the shoes that I wear are clean, and not "ratty" New Balance. And, I'll be in a nice shirt, and jeans. I can wear cowboy boots, but I wouldn't be looking forward to the next day.

I'll give them a call, and see what they say.

 

Maybe look into a pair of skechers or something along those lines. Pretty inexpensive, look decent enough, and a lot closer in comfort to sneakers than cowboy boots would be.

All I used to wear were ropers. Felt weird for a LONG time wearing "normal" shoes. Now with my toes being all messed up I get a blister on the top of my big toe if I wear them without a band-aid.

ive never had a problem with my old school black reeboks in omni or the bank, as someone said up top, they are more into a collared shirt...we went to pure when it was still open, checked with the guy if a diamond card could skip the line and door fee, he said yes but my friends couldnt go in because they had shorts on, we knew that already, just seeing if we could skip line and paying...we went back to harrahs and changed, I put on a nice black shirt dress shirt, we get back to the line and he says all is good but I cant go in because my shirt doesnt have a collar..I basically told him where he could go and just told my friends to go with out me, 10 minutes later they came out talking about it was so packed you couldnt move, they couldnt even get to the bar to get a drink...

 

Cole haan lunar grands. Super comfy.

 

I know they may sound ''old', but the spouse wears Rockports and finds them more comfortable than his tennis shoes. Just solid black shoes with a rubber sole bottom.

 

I was just about to also mention "driving moccasins" but the Rockport option is also great.

On driving moccasins, I've seen those online and they're slip on, and look very comfy, but dress-code friendly.

I'd say check out driving moccasins (modern loafers but NO tassles), Rockports or the like. Dark and discrete and you'll be fine.

Cowboy boots will make you miserable...unless the non-pointy kind.

Whatever you wear, you'll look great! Just wear something close enough to scooch by dress code, and be comfortable, versus being miserable for people who will never remember your shoes anyways!

 

Yeah, they're just ropers, the rounded toe kind. I never liked the look of the pointed ones. And, the rounded ones are more comfy to wear.

I'll start looking at the other pairs that y'all have suggested. And, they'll take up less room in the suitcase so I don't have to check anything.

 

Those are great looking boots---ropers. If your feet are comfy in them, they look great. If not, definitely check out some of the other ideas. Just make sure you are comfortable, as nothing ruins a fun night like terribly uncomfortable shoes. Enjoy!

 

You're going to have to wear dress shoes. Just find some that are comfortable.

 

Yeah, I like how they look. And, I don't mind standing in them for a long time, we didn't at least. I might try to get some inserts to see how that goes. I have until October to get a new pair.

 

Not sure if it has been mentioned but I think the tennis shoes are fine these days as it has a different connotation than back 20 years ago in terms of vibe for dress. Lot of high end sneakers and also lot of them look pretty good when dressed up casually to go out.
