Can you ask a host to get you tickets to something at another casino? I.E. staying at the Palazzo but asking your host to get you tickets to Penn & Teller at the Rio? Or is that considered bad taste for them?

I would say if you bet enough then you could but at palazzo they are pretty tight on comps.
What is your average bet and time.

I was just using that as an example. The tickets don't have to be comp'd. My parents are planning a trip to Vegas sometime in Sept and I agreed to help them plan it all out.

If you don't need the tickets comped, then I would use the concierge instead of a host.

Penn & Teller tickets are not hard to get, though, I'm not sure why you would even need to use the concierge.

Yea, I would just book them myself. Hosts can do just about anything if your play is strong enough, but generally they are not going to do off property stuff.

And, it saves "credit" for when you do want something from them that might be harder to get. Don't want to be that person that thinks a host does every little thing for you. At least, that's how I look at it.

My CET host has gotten off property tickets for me any time I've asked. He just charges it to my room and will comp it off at the end based on my play. I only do it when I think my play (based on history) will cover the tickets, otherwise I book it myself.

I think the OP is asking if a host can get tickets to a casino that's not a sister casino but under completely different program. Like asking a host at Cosmo to get tickets to O at Bellagio. The answer is probably no unless you're a High Roller looking for a favor. That is if I understood this correctly.

my last host at harrahs las vegas had no issues getting tickets to other events, I called him about tickets to a boxing event at mgm and he said mgm allotted them only 6 tickets so they can and do work with other properties, as said above though, you play will determine cost and comp ability

A host can do anything they're willing to do based on your play. If you're losing $5,000 a day at Cosmo and you tell your host you wanna go see Penn & Teller tonight, she's going to get you the tickets.

If you don't need them comped, don't ask your host.

If you need front row seats, ask the concierge.

If you don't need anything special, don't ask the concierge, just buy them yourself.
