    My Trip Report

I will be in Vegas and doing a live trip report Thursday 6/9 though 6/14. The first 3 nights I will be staying at Luxor on a comp with $75 FP and $100 RC. I have never stayed at Luxor, but couldn’t pass up the free nights over the weekend. The last 2 nights I will be at Mirage on a “discounted” tier rate. I have a “Tower Deluxe King reserved at Luxor and a “Volcano View” room booked at Mirage.

I have a rental car reserved through Hertz. Since I am MLife Gold, don’t need to pay for parking, but I hope it doesn’t slow down entry/exit that much.

I plan on playing Poker Tournaments, Slots and Some Blackjack.

I have 2 MyVegas rewards. I haven't been playing that much anymore because there isn't much I want to use points for.
    • MyVegas Mirage Dinner Buffet
    • MyVegas Free Pastry at Monte Carlo with purchase of Beverage
For Food, I plan on going to the following:
    • John Mulls RoadKill Grille - Since I get in around 10:30 AM, will head here for lunch before checking into Luxor.
    • Rolling Smoke BBQ
    • Lucille’s BBQ (Do you notice a trend here?)
    • Cosmo Secret Pizza - Never been want to at least try
    • Bruxie Chicken - Based on TheTrooper97 review
I also have the Resort Credit to use at Luxor, so will find some places to eat there and may cut out some of my other planned places, but not any of the BBQ restaurants.

Depending on time, plan some of the following:
    • Red Rock Canyon
    • Shooting Range
    • DownTown - Tim Speed VMB Meetup on Sunday Night.
    • Counts Kustoms
I may hit the pool, at least I brought my swim shorts. I also want to check out The Park area.

When I was in Vegas in February, my highest walking day (according to my Apple Watch) was 13.45 miles, so I will try to beat that.

I'll try to include lots of pictures.

Ride to the airport and tsa was uneventful. Love TSA precheck, regular line wasn't terrible looking but like not having to take stuff out, shoes off etc

Btw, have to wish one of my dogs (Romeo) a happy 5th birthday today.

Ps: I know he can't read this; he is only 5

Will have one of the old US Air planes today.

Romeo is a cutie. Safe travels and good luck. I really enjoy BBQ so looking forward to your report. Tried Lucille's by Green Valley but not the others.

I've been spoiled with no rental car shuttle line the last few times. Not this time I guess. My hertz confirmation says I have a Chevy Cruze

Ugh, that's a long shuttle line.

I always rent from Avis with Preferred service. Just once I'd like to see a line that long when I'm passing it by, so I can say to myself "Hahaaa, suckers!"

Tagging along. I've never seen the shuttle line more than two or three people.
    Good luck!

Wow, those lines for rental cars suck.

Hope you have a good trip. Luxor is not a bad place to stay. You are right about it being one of the few places to comp weekends, besides Paris. Hard to beat a free room. By the way, your dog is really cute.

I guess I got bad karma for taking that rental car line. I went to my car and hertz had two exits and I picked the wrong one. The other one, 7 cars went out and my person was still working on the same car. Apparently they took someone else's car and may not even had a reservation and they refused to go back so the clerk had to process them and it took forever. She told me she charged them a fee for taking the wrong car.

Sweep that bad karma away before you hit the casino floor. Looking forward to following along.

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg For anyone who is going to John mull for the first time here are a couple of tips:
    • You will think you might be in the Wrong place Cause it is in the middle of no where but you are there. I included a picture from the street
    • There is only outside seating so keep that in mind when it is 100 degrees like today
    • The portions are large for the money. I used to get 3 meat combo but it was just too much food
I got brisket, hot links, beans, slaw and cornbread. The links, beans and cornbread were very good. The brisket was a little dry and had no visible smoke ring. The Cole slaw was a little bland.

I found out about it a few years ago when it was on the diners drive ins and dives show on food network
