LOL - I started a different thread a week or so ago asking why Newark was so cheap compared to BWI and Philly, I had read that security wasn't that great at EWR so was looking for input from VMB'ers who fly out of EWR..
I'm originally from PA and still have family in eastern PA that we visit once or twice each year, always looking for the cheapest fares and prefer SWA non stop flights. We don't like ABE in Allentown since there are no non stops and no SWA. We like BWI because it is near Gettysburg (civil war buffs) and we visit there once a year on our family trips but more expensive. Philly is closer to where our family lives, but no Nonstop flights. Newark often has the cheapest fares and Nonstop flights, but haven't flown into that airport in 10 or 12 years. But these fares were just too cheap to pass up.

I've been checking a couple times a day. One of my flights dropped $30 yesterday (from $276 to $246) so I rebooked it. Prices are pretty steep for me this trip, but I still have about 2 months to go.

    Stupid g*ddamn Southwest.

Because fares in November from MKE to LAS went down a teeny bit during their "big sale", I booked our group of 7 for our yearly poker trip.

I just checked today (the day after their "big sale") and RT fares are $96 lower. What the hell kind of sale was that?

So if you are thinking of flying the fall from MKE, many days (not all) have fares of $119 each way for $238 total.
