Your opinion/advice is appreciated: Shorty I'll be changing planes (on SW airlines) in Vegas on a Sunday eve. Will be arriving in Vegas at 5:40pm changing planes & departing again at 9:15pm. Rather than wait in the airport I figure I could 'Taxi' it to the closest hotel, gamble a little over an hour & then back, thru security to my gate. I figure I could easily be sitting at a 'Table' by 6:20pm & be back at the airport by 8:15. Just don't feel like sitting at the airport 3 hrs & 35min. My preference is any Mlife hotel. The Excaliber, Luxor, MGM Grand & Manadalay Bay all Mlife hotels seem to be the closest 4 Casinos to the airport. To those who may know the Taxi routes fairly well, which hotel do think would offer the shortest time wise travel route to & from the airport. I have no carry-on which should help a little.
Honestly I'm not sure its its feasible but I think it is. Thanks in advance for your advice & opinions.

MGM Grand would probably be the closest and easiest to get to and from.

I second that. Should be the quickest.

You basically have to go past the Grand to get to the others. Check out maps.google.com

I'd go to MGM Grand also. And then you could walk across the bridge to NYNY, Exalibur, and Monte Carlo if you wanted.

If taxi lines are long, consider uber or lyft. you're so short on time any minute will help.
also - MGM is insanely large. You might be better off @ Luxor/NYNY/etc so you can get to the game of choice faster.
If you're not set on Mlife, I'd strongly recommend Hard Rock due to airport proximity. I had a flight cancellation in May (darn the luck) and grabbed a room at HR for the night. very entertaining casino and no real potential traffic bottlenecks for the ride back to the airport.

That would be my only concern with MGM is the cab line. I have seen some long lines but if you have status and can skip it would be the closest.

Some very good advice there. NYNY does involved one more traffic light, but way less issues with cabs like at MGM.

I used to do the same thing & taxi over to MGM when I had enough time between connections to spend 1-2 hours at the tables at MGM...
