Taking two older people to visit Vegas and staying Downtown. We will spend one day on the strip, will take Uber to one hotel and head out from there.
What is your favorite Strip casino and why?

Paris...mostly due to location and atmosphere. We don't really play at one single venue, more or less, where we feel like exploring.

If you're looking to show them the opulence of a Strip casino, start with Caesars and head to Bellagio

Favorite from a win perspective has always been NYNY. Big, roomy, lost of drink and food options.
Other favorite would be Planet Hollywood. Again I like the big rooms. Can never go wrong with the Pleasure Pit.....

If the "older" people are actually old Palazzo is great. Fantastic dining/longe options with strip or casino views to watch the action and it easy to get around as it not crowded like the B. Many pools too, so it's easy to find an available lounger. If they're not too old, the Bellagio all the way. It's iconic Vegas.

Good idea. I guess it really depends on how long of a day you want to make it. You can easily do all day and see lots of places.

I would start at one end,or point and work your way up/down the strip before heading back downtown. Unlike downtown, you can not see it all in an hour or two.

Places things a newbie would love to see. Entry hall, shops and canal at V/P.
    Caesars is Caesars of course.
Paris with tower and cool ceiling.
    Bellagio from inside and outside
Aria - Cosmo worth at least a walk through
If enough energy do the NY to Excal to Luxor to M-Bay walk. All unique casinos.

Again, depends on walking, drinking, eating plans. We are in our 60's and often walk from Mirage to ManBay.

Any one I win at..LOL!! That said I have always had a "thang" for the Mirage. Just liked the "feel' of the place. I couldn't win in that place to save my life...and for me to say that after always losing or struggling just getting close to break even on the craps table mainly is saying something. But take this into consideration.. haven't been there in years and have heard about some of the changes there so take my call with a grain of salt.
SURPRISING DARKHOURSE CALL( with a caveat however)..... Casino Royale for the dice game... either it was VERRRRY good or very bad.. But you MUST bring a gas mask because the place always got smoky......
Finally I always like the CRAPS game at Bellagio( can ya tell I like dice..LOL.) Thought their staff was the best this( or any) side of Binions Horseshoe when the Binion family ran it.

Since you said you wanted to start at one hotel and head out from there, I'd personally start at Bellagio for a couple of reasons. 1) I know everyone has their own opinion, but to me the sidewalk in front of the lake is the dead center of the strip 2) you can catch one of the famous fountain shows if that interests you 3) you can walk next door to another iconic strip landmark in Caesars, or you can go the other way and check out the new-ish, shiny glitz at Aria and Cosmo.

It really depends what you and your friends want to do though. The first time I went, I wanted to make sure I set foot inside Caesars, Bellagio, and the MGM Grand simply because they were the ones I saw on TV and in the movies.

Bellagio - the fountains, the atrium/conservatory, the casino is classy as well.
Then on to Cosmo (exit the Bellagio lobby and take the escalator down to the strip and just a short walk to Cosmo)
Then on to Aria for more eye candy.
All have good food choices and gambling options.

Treasure Island because I don't like throwing my money away on lousy 6:5 blackjack and video poker paytables.

I'd do the Caesars/Bellagio combo to start. Caesars is celebrating 50 years and is a classic. Bellagio is impressive as well. Then head to Cosmo/Aria. And then over to Wynn and Venetian if you don't mind the walk (or Uber if you wish). You don't say if you want to gamble or eat, but the places I mentioned all have good food options. And since you're staying downtown, skip gambling on the strip, you have far better options downtown. None of the others are "must see" IMHO.

Agreed, I also like that it's connected to Bally's, my favorite pit boss and cocktail waitress are at Ballly's.

I have my personal favorites for sure (LINQ, Mirage, Paris, PH), but if I'm taking a first timer and want to show classic iconic Vegas, Caesars is the GOAT. Then swing by the fountains at Bellagio.

If I was showcasing the strip and had to pick one casino I would choose the Bellagio - the property is very elegant and it also includes the conservatory and fountains.

I would also include either the High Roller or Eiffel Tower tour.

Different answer if they just want to gamble and of course food can be had anywhere.

p.s On your way downtown you can show them where Resorts World will be in 2030.:poke:
