Bourne In Vegas

Am I late to the party? Just saw a promo for a new Jason Bourne movie featuring Las Vegas.

 

I just saw that during the hockey game. First I've seen!

 

I recall a thread back in Jan or Feb about them filming in Vegas.

 

I was there last Jan while they were filming a car chase scene down las vegas blvd. well actually it was just one car going real fast and they just kept doing it over and over lol. didn't see Matt Damon though. Saw the trailer and looks like they just added the other cars via CGI I guess. I know they shot some scenes at either Aria or Cosmo. They even gave out memos to all guests that they may hear simulated gunfire while they were in the premises.

 

Yup...I was in town during filming as well...

 

They had the Strip shut down between Flamingo and Harmon except for one lane in each direction for emergency vehicles for several hours on the night of Jan 27. I was taking a cab from MGM to Cosmo and ended up bailing out at Harmon.

I think they also crashed a car through the front of the Riviera earlier in the day.

 

I was there in Feb when they were reshooting a couple scenes.

 

I signed up to be an extra on the movie when I was there in January. I was acccepted. Unfortunately, they asked for confirmation a couple of days before while I was on my flight. It was too late by the time I landed. I got another email the next day saying additional spots had opened and I needed to confirm. However, the email came in the middle of the night. When I looked at it in the morning, they were taken. Disappointed to say the least.
I also saw them filming the car chases on LV Blvd over and over again.
I'm looking forward to seeing the movie.

 

I was there during filming also. I was in front of PH watching for a bit around 2:30am on a Saturday morning. I got some footage of a whole bunch of cars driving backward on the strip. It was amusing.

 

I saw the backwards cars as well. I thought it was funny that they do it over and over again.
