Ok, so last trip I wanted to do a trip report and that fell by the wayside right about the beginning of the trip. This time I'm going to try harder, it may end up a picture thread though. Plan is three nights at the Plaza and then 2ish nights at el cortez. The only firm plans are the high limit slot pull with the VMB group at the Mirage on Saturday, and the Joan Jett concert Sat evening.

At the airport, behind customs, which was smooth as always, now if that darn plane would just show up...

Well I'm landed, 30 mins late due to "discrepancy between what the airplane says we have for fuel vs what the tanker put in" verbatim from the pilot.

Turns out the wax stop at terminal three moved from the fr far left of the terminal all the way to the other side second level, start out the vacant with a march up and down terminal three oh well, on it now just in the nick of time, checking in up next

Well check in was smooth as butter, south tower with pool view, will take picture later when the sun goes down. These aren't the worst rooms, square footage is nice and no smell in the hallway, slow to drain shower though but that's even in the Carson tower at the nugget. They're not the suites at GG, but they aren't the basic room with a foot around the bed either and bathroom door that only opens part way before hitting the commode, at plaza the door opens fully! Got the plaza coupon book, will also detail that later.

Next, dinner, maybe the prime rib at the cal...

 

The current state of the pool, told it will be open "for events on the weekend" but couldn't get any more info or commitment.

 

25$ promo chip at plaza on roulette, put it on 19-36, boom 18, zilch (3 days each 25 free promo chip, let's see how the rest go)

17$ free plaza at golden gate (100 credits won on one spin of cashspin otherwise), zilch

Well so for an evening of getting more and more stuck, roulette with 20 straight up 17 and 20 on its street, hoping for a make me even, boom, 17.

Spin out the repeat and go to bed a hair over par. I've slept to little to keep up to the last few hours. Pre roulette, played freebet blackjack and tripled up my hundo before bleeding it back, I could see how that game sucks you in on the big bets hoping for the split split split double double double, too bad they're so far between

Had the prime rib special at market cafe in the cal and wasn't entirely impressed, I think the macaroni salad from the bar was the highlight, beef was pretty meh and baked potato was somehow both under and over cooked

Ok im kinda surprised how these guys are working through the night on the pool, they were at that at 5 and still going

 

Sounds like you are having a great time. Hope you get a big hit gambling today. Enjoying the report thanks for taking the time to do it. I guess they are trying to get their pool up and running for the summer. Enjoy yourself and kick butt.

Well despite being up at 0630 I decided to skip the trek to south strip and take my 15 bucks at dupars, turkey avocado benny was excellent

Well I kinda fell off the earth yesterday but here's a shot of the opened pool. Looks like the west side is a bit above the waist deep with the east side only ankle water.

 

I can tell from here it's a total Bingo playing sausage fest at the pool.
