I play a lot of low-limit (but good rules) blackjack/blackjack switch essentially as a social experience. I enjoy kidding around with other players and dealers. There are many places downtown that are laid back and fun. On the strip, it seems more serious. Casino Royale is an exception (and comps well), but Mirage, Venetian, etc. are too serious for me, even at the $10 blackjack switch level. So my question ... what are your favorite casinos for playing some fun low-limit blackjack/blackjack switch?

    Thanks

    Bob

NYNY has always been fun, and so has The Linq, now you have to deal with 6/5 blackjack but I don't mind if I'm looking for a fun time with a full table

Golden Gate downtown, in the evening with the female dancing dealers. Good vibe, 3:2 payouts on BJ, low table limits and friendly dealers.

NYNY doesn't have the good rules the OP is looking for. In fact, it hard to find good rules for any low limit BJ game

+1, honorable mention to Las Vegas Club (for me) as well, even though it no longer exists...

I agree with the Golden Gate. I had an 8 hour run there a few weeks ago, ending early in the AM. Lots of fun, good rules, and many black russians (but very little comps). Downtown in general seems like a lot more fun than the strip, but I'm still wondering if I'm missing a good fun place on the strip or near-strip. Except for the poker, it is hard to think of many reasons to gamble there.

What are we using as a demarcation between 'fun' and 'too serious'? The deterrent for me is the over exuberant like-you-won-the-lottery celebration of reaping $60 on doubling down. When every winning hand is celebrated...I'm gonna color up.

Another +1 for the Golden Gate. I like the D too. Went there recently with a group and took over a table. We had a blast.

I had a blast at the Carnival Court between the Linq and Harrah's. Full table, fun dealer, good music and after tipping the waitress $10 on the first drink, she made sure to stop by every 10 minutes or so with a cool beer replacement. :)

I've had a lot of fun playing $15 3:2 at Planet Hollywood, but my fave is $5 game at Ellis Island. Just a short walk off the strip behind Bally's. It's 6 or 8 deck CSM, DAS, No RSA, and Surrender is allowed.

Problem with blackjack is that it can become stressful/tense quickly if a person doesn't follow the book and someone gets pissed by it. In my opinion that person who doesn't like it should leave, but rarely happens.

If you're looking for a more social game, I highly recommend Pai Gow Poker.

Most fun $5 3:2 double-deck game? That would be the El-Cortez - DAS is still permitted & they don't seem to be overly "worried" about whether or not a player is actually winning. Plus, the table-game clientele just seems to always be in 'party-mode'... always seems fun when I've played there.

Most fun $5 3:2 CSM? Golden Gate, hands down.

Most fun $5 3:2 6-deck shoe? The new-ish Plaza blackjack room right by the entrance.

Honorable mention: As noted upthread, the old LVC had a great $10 3:2 double-deck table, with DAS. Always had fun there too.

Best-ever from the past? That would be the plethora of $5, S17 3:2 with DAS double-deck pitch games at the Stardust...and going back further in time, the old 4-deck shoe game that the LV Hilton (and Flamingo-Hilton) used to offer....same rules as the Stardust 2-deck game.

Golden Gate is best IMO. Fast drinks, fun dealers and players.
