It's been a really long time since I had to deal with daily food credits. Our upcoming stay at Suncoast, I noticed on the offer we have $40 per day in food credits. How does that work? If you don't use it all at one restaurant, you lose the balance? Or, can you use the remaining balance the same day at another restaurant?

Does the Players Club load the $40 each day on your B Connected Card, or they just issue a voucher for $40 each day? Use it, or lose it?

if it works like most Boyds. Use it or lose it. Did,n't have $40 but ours was through hotel and had to be charged to room (MSS) to be deducted daily

Ya, the first $40 you charge to your room automatically comes off. You can use it all at once or at 3 different restaurants but any remaining value disappears at midnight.

We have had dinner at Salvatore's and used both our daily amount and points. We asked to have $40 of the bill (or however much we had on daily comp) charged to the room and then asked that they use our points to pay the remaining bill. The waiter said he'd have to call someone to give him a hand because it confused him but in the end they did manage to figure it out. Just allow them some extra time to sort it out.

So we could go to the deli the morning, charge to the room and the remaining ~$20 would still be available for that same day for a room charge at a different restaurant?

Treating my brother and SIL and paying with points at SC Steakhouse on Monday. But Saturday, we were going to just charge the entire meal at Salvatore's and see what they would comp us at checkout.

So far they want $68 Emerald rate for the room+taxes for our 4th night. If ~55,000+ coin-in for four days doesn't get us a room comp for the 4th night and ~$100 meal, then I guess I cross them off the list.

Maybe we are very spoiled by the way MSS treats us. Timspeed, no need to chime in. :peace:

Yes, that should work. I'm pretty sure we had coffee and bagels one morning at the deli and then used the remaining funds for lunch at the cafe. One good thing, from my experience, is that the gals at the front desk understand how the daily food comp works so you don't have to stand in line at the Club booth to get the answers.

I hear ya on wondering what they'll do for you this time. They are not consistent at all. It sounds like a solid plan to me though, the room should be a no brainer. The meal might be tricky. They encourage point use for meals and seem to be tightening up the extras when it comes to food.

If it makes ya feel any better, I'm down to $10 a day in food from a high of $100. We've made less visits there lately but play more $$ when we do stay. So I'm not sure why I've been demoted....but it's Suncoast. I like the place but don't have a clue how they come up with these numbers.

We were thinking of visiting the Suncoast when we're over as it's on the WAX bus route. Does anyone know if the bus stop is in the casino car park or is it somewhere nearby?

Drops you off in the Suncoast parking lot. Maybe a 75 yard (68 meters) walk to the doors of the casino. Pickup in same location.
