I am going to Vegas in July and have booked a free show ticket and a free hotel night already. For the 3 redemptions rule, do both of these count for July or would either of them count for May because I've already "redeemed" them? Ideally one or both of them would count now, so that I can use another reward in July. Thanks!
You have 1 more reward. It doesn't count as redeemed until you see the show, eat the meal or sleep in the room. You can, however, get some non-MGM rewards on top of your 3/30 MGM rewards. Wolfgang Puck, monorail, Station Casinos, House of Blues, Hexx, Smith Center - anything not listed under an MGM property tab - doesn't count toward your 3/30 limit. They do each have their own limitations though, so be sure and read the fine print on page 2 of the reward.
Interestingly, I booked a Ka and a Love complimentary ticket (2 rewards used) and on confirmation of the tickets, received emails straight away with the tickets for the shows attached, and the rewards are no longer in my pending wallet (they're in redeemed) so does that mean I'm freed up for 3 Mlife rewards again in 30 days time now I already have the tickets for later in the year?
No, the rewards are considered redeemed when you see the shows. If you are going some other time that is 30 days before or after the days you see those shows, then you can purchase 3 rewards for those days and still have 1 rewards left for the trip where you see those shows.
So does the system physically stop me from purchasing more than one more? Because they were in my redeemed wallet I assumed that classed as a redemption - seemed more logical to me! LOL
No, you can purchase all the rewards in the game if you want but you can only use 3 per 30 days. The show/room rewards that have been booked already show as redeemed simply because you can no longer get a refund from them. If they were still in your wallet, you could cancel them and get your LPs back which is something that can't be done. When you go to Mlife desk to redeem a reward, they'll tell you how many you have left to be redeemed and the number will have tickets/rooms deducted. I've had this experience on all of my 3 trips.
Thanks for the explanation! But non MGM / MLife rewards I'm still good to go for additional rewards beyond the 3? (up to whatever limitations their T&Cs have instead!)
If we purchase the Terry Fator companion ticket & use it for a show in November but book it now, will we then be able to use 3 in November?
