Are they remodeling all of the rooms? If so, does anyone know when the hip rooms will be done?

The Hip rooms are now the Ultra Hip and they're really quite nice!

From looking online it looks like the "ultra hip rooms" are double the price of cheaper "hip" rooms on the website.. would you say they are worth double?

Hmm tough question. I guess it all depends on what you're happy paying. I think they are WAY better than they were. My husband and I were in a Strip Suite which is quite a bit bigger but I'm not gonna lie, I was kind of jealous that our Son was in the Ultra Hip.

Hoping to get an upgrade from our strip view room on our trip in September to a ultra. Hopefully it helps that we check in on Tuesday.

True.. we won't be in the room that much so probably not worth the significant price difference for our group. I will try the $20 trick though and see if maybe we can get a resort room? Is there a big difference between resort and standard hip?

I love pH, and the new rooms are beautiful. However, considering you can find rooms at V/P for less than $200 a night, I find that CET's pricing is a bit too north of what they're actually worth.

I haven't been in a resort room but from what I hear, they are bigger than the hip rooms.

CET is comping us three nights in a Hip Room, Strip View for our wedding anniversary in August. We've never stayed at PH before. Are the Hip rooms bad? It sounds like a lot of people don't like them.

I wouldn't say they are bad necessarily but they are dark. Hopefully by then they will have them all updated to the Ultra Hip and those are really nice.

We really enjoy staying at Planet Hollywood but normally get the Resort Room which is just the Hip room with a little more square feet and double sinks in the bathroom. If you want to stay in a dark room book a room at The Cromwell. Try and get a room serviced by the North Elevators in order for you strip view to include the fountains. I think you will enjoy your stay.

We just stayed in a remodeled hip room the first weekend of May. I thought they were done well. A lot brighter than the old rooms. They only thing I didn't like was the lighting in the bathroom. It was dark...too dark for makeup application anyway. I would like to see what they did with a resort room in the bathrooms.

Anybody know how the Planet Hollywood remodeling is going? We booked a Hip Room with Strip View and I'm wondering if we're going to end up with a remodeled room. Not sure how many have been remodeled at this point.

Stayed last week on 36th floor in renovated room--very nice and much brighter than resort rooms. Heard no remodeling sounds.
