I remember reading about people napping whist in LV and I thought it was silly. Whenever we went I was prepared to "giver" during my trip and worry about sleep later.

After 8 or 9 years and a dozen or so visits (longer stays due to better comps!).....napping is a nice option and helps to refresh mind, body and soul ( doe not hurt saved nag the bank roll either!).

What are you thoughts about napping?

I do it. I'm too old/wise to think that on a 4 day trip I can just get 4 hours of sleep a night and not be a zombie by day 4.

Especially in the summer when it's hot I like to get up, go out for a while during the day, drink/eat/do whatever, then come back to the room around 4p, grab a couple hours, shower, reset and head back out refreshed. Then I feel like I can go deep without being a wreck by midnight after an all-day/nighter.

I love a great nap! I'm a night owl and hubby a day person, so a nap lets me juggle my night owl gambling antics yet still be somewhat on his schedule.

But, we take long trips, 10-12 days, so it's not like it's eating into time terribly. If we went for 4 days, I wouldn't be napping. But for our trips? I love naps! (Even though I'm under 80 Misanthrope ;))

We often take a nap in the afternoon in Vegas, not always but often. It makes the evenings more enjoyable.

We nap every day! Always have. The usual routine? Get up around 8, hit the pool around 10, followed by a buffet mid-afternoon, then gambling/sightseeing and back to the room around 5. Then it's nap time! Around 8, we head back out, then hit a club and hang till about 2 or so.

Yep early riser here then love taking a nap/break from the crowds and the heat. Then perfectly refreshed for the evening/night.

My wife and I usually will take a nap while we are in Vegas. Most of our trips are a week plus. We like to get up in the morning go down to the pool for a while then go back to the room shower grab lunch and play for a bit. Then we take a nap and have a late dinner and stay out a little later and enjoy the evening. Also do this coming from the east coast it can be a challenge at times to be able to stay up and enjoy the nightlife.

I like power naps because there's a lull in the late afternoon where you might not have much going on. I find it's better not to gamble during that time as my luck is the worst

Generally something in the late afternoon. We don't sleep until noon, as is, so we're up and around by around nine at the latest. Can't stay up days on end, so if we wanna stay up until the wee hours of the morning, there's gonna be a nap during the day. Just the down side of aging and coming to the sad realization that after x-number of visits to Vegas, the desperation to 'drink it all in' just isn't there anylonger.

By the 48 hour mark after arrival my body clock converts to day sleep and night activity. A nap after lunch for 2-4 hours and I'm good to go past sunrise.

I nap occasionally in Vegas. Usually if we get in after a 6 hr flight and hit the ground running and stay up until 2 a.m. which is 5 a.m. our time. That's 24 hours by then. So that day I'll nap. That's about it, now that I think about it. I'm usually too excited to be back to think about napping.

I usually nap when I'm in vegas. I like to stay up late (like 3 am) so the nap helps me out. I usually like to gamble after midnight because the tables are so crowded in the evening so I usually will take a nap in the early evening. If I don't nap then I feel like a zombie later at night

Last time we were in Las Vegas our at home sleep schedule was asleep by 3AM and then up at 11AM... when in Las Vegas we were always up at 8AM to go for an early (for us) breakfast and some early morning gambling, but still wanted to stay out late so we would usually go back and grab a 1-2 hour nap. Afternoon nap time is also a good time for a quickie before going to sleep or when waking up

I will take a "little break", watch tv, check emails, call family, but never a nap. I'm a horrible sleeper anyway and never take naps no matter how tired I am, always been that way.

On my solo trips, I have a ritual - afternoon room service followed by a nap, I love it. I'm usually in the casino till sunrise, so my naps help me.
