My wife and I average about $3-4K per day that we are willing to lose. We play mostly slots, but I am comfortable playing PGP or BJ in the $50-$100/ hand range for a 2 hour session each day

I bring 1k per day but am more frugal at the front end of the trip and push it in the last night or 2

    I budget $1K per day.
The Mrs. has her gaming funds, but if we're sitting @ BJ, I front her funds.

'Cause once per annum is insufficient...

As a low-rolling college kid, I budget $100 or so a night and look for the cheapest table minimums. I generally play $3 craps, $5 BJ, and quarter VP. I stretch my value with low-bet penny slots and Sigma Derby!

As a bachelor that's 32 with no kids I am planning on $600 a night on Memorial Day weekend. Sometimes I've gone as much as $2k a day and others as low as $300 a day....really can have fun gambling or hanging out on any budget in Vegas. All depends on what you plan to do and how you plan to bet.

Wife and I usually budget $1K/day...mostly blackjack, PGP, craps and some slots...anything left over at the end of the day, half goes into take-home envelope, half rolls over to the next day's bankroll...

Gambling budget is about $300 per day each for my husband and I. Small wins get cycled into the bankroll, bigger wins we try to set some aside to take home. I also bring an "emergency" envelope with $300-$400 in it in case we have one of those days where nothing is hitting. We very rarely have had to hit the ATM with that budget, and we play *almost* as much as we'd like.

Budget of $1,000 per day for gambling. Any money that we have left over at the end of the trip we spend on something when we get back, that way the money will be gone either way. After last trip, we bought new couch and loveseat for the house. We don't discuss what we'll buy if we have money left over. We only figure that out when we get on the plane to head back home.

Last trip (which is fairly typical for me), I took $1300 in cash & budgeted another $500 per day accessible through ATM.
So - even though I never needed the ATM for this last trip (3-nights), I allowed myself a bankroll of $2800, with the ability to hit the ATM a 4th time on my return-date... so, $3300 total.
Basically, $1000/day for gambling, if necessary.
In the past, my limit was more like $700/day, but I had extra in my "gambling fund" for this most recent trip...and now, I have even more in there!

Next trip (which will, hopefully, be in July) I will probably do the same...about $1K per day.

    I play (almost exclusively) $10-$15 2-deck blackjack & $5 UTH.
I always play a session or two of craps & 3-card on every trip, though.

wow, we have some well to do people on this board.

As for me, I usually budget about $300 to $400 a day for gambling and other expenses. In the beginning of my trip I will usually budget $300 but near the end of my trip I will budget more, depending on how well I was doing at the time (more money, budget more, less money, budget less). I will normally budget about $2k or $3k on my trips depending on how many days I am in vegas.

I play mostly craps and some bj and vp but I am a low roller (no roller?) and so I hardly get any comps other than a comp meal here and there.

No budget. If I lose what I brought, I tap my line of credit. On VP, that's usually about $12,000 per day coin-in.

Only once have I gone tail between my legs to the the room because I lost too much.

    Well, certainly not me!

In the early 80s, I used to go quite frequently...and often, those trips started with $300 bankrolls, with the trip objective to win $300... fortunately, I was able to do so (win) far more often than not!

It wasn't until my "downtown" days started in, 2006 or so, that my bankroll increased to $300 a day...then to $500/day... to now at $1000.

IF you look at the "inflation calculator" ( http://www.dollartimes.com/calculators/inflation.htm ), I'm only at about 3x what I used to be! ('Take-home' income has grown by more than that, even factoring in inflation!)
$300.00 in 1980 had the same buying power as $925.13 in 2016.
Annual inflation over this period was 3.18%.

We don't do it per a night but per a trip. Usually, the wife and I determine what we each have to spend per the trip. She shops and I gamble. Over the last couple of years, the amount we each have agreed to has tracked with the LOC I have at MB.

$500 Per night and possibly more if winning towards the end of trip. I visit 4-5 times per year and usually get comped 3-4 nights per year at mid range MGM properties.

While I could afford more, $500/day is my limit as any more than that takes the fun out of gambling and I start worrying about losses.

I budget $1000 a day strictly for gambling. Whatever left over, whether it's plus or minus that $1000 goes back in the safe and another $1000 is used for the next day.

Seems to work well and at least there will be bankroll going home with me for the next trip. There were times however, that I "cheated" on the last day and will draw the previous budgets to do a last swing for the fences.

If I lose say $200 or so max playing I'll get discouraged and usually quit for the day.

$2k a night if staying for 1 week or $1.5k a night if staying for two weeks.
