    Hey All,

First, I am new here, and this is my second time going to vegas. Last time it was my parents 25th wedding anniversary and we went sorta high end. Stayed at Palazzo and it was amazing. The rooms were gorgeous and the POOL was awesome and luxurious.

This time we are going a little less crazy and want to stay at a good hotel. We went in 2012 and I don't remember Linq Hotel being there (I googled and it wasn't)

I was trying to stay under 200 a night and the most important things are: We are going from Sept 22-27

    Pool
    Center of strip
    Casino
    Rooms
    View

I have seen Linq and MGM as the closest to this. Any suggestions? Pool must be more calm than CRAZY but still fun. Parents will lay around. We'll sit in the sun and drink.

The Mirage meets all your criteria.

Aria. Happy medium. Good energy but classy. Best beds ever, btw.

Yes, The Linq used to be The Quad, which used to be Imperial Palace...things change :)

Do you have any comps or any more info, aside from what you posted? I have a few ideas, but maybe a little more info would help us suggest a good spot... :) Welcome to VMB :)

Are you and your parents going? Assuming two rooms? What sort of things are planning to do? Food - basic, fancy, buffet?

Just did a search on i4vegas.com for those dates and it will be difficult to get a room on the Strip under $200/nt when you include resort fees + taxes.

Best I could find (excluding CC and Excal) close to that price per night (excluding fees/taxes) was:
    $132 Harrah's
    $137 Luxor
    $165 Ballys
    $165 Treasure Island
    $165 Flamingo
    $175 MGM Grand
    $179 Linq
    $181 Monte Carlo

MGM is the best of that list according to your needs but that rate is for a West Wing room which I wouldn't recommend unless you are travelling solo.

You can waive the resort fee at TI so that would fit your budget. However Flamingo probably fits your criteria the best though.

    Good luck!

    Chris

Unfortunately all the above suggestions are above your budget for those dates.
I just popped over to Expedia & figuring in resort fees (but not taxes), Ballys, Flamingo, & TI all fit the price range. (MGM does...but it is the dreaded West Wing room)
Ballys & Flamingo are center strip, TI more north.
Flamingo has the best pools for sure.
    Ballys has the largest rooms.
    TI has the best casino.
    All can have good views.
As you can see none meet ALL your criteria...
MGM would be more like $230/nt plus taxes for a decent room...it has a great pool & casino but is a bit further south on the strip.

MGM is not center strip but would fit most requirements. But for true center strip, Paris and Mirage meet your requirements best as well as possibly Flamingo. Paris is really high that time period though and I think there is a special event at some point during your trip. Bally's doesn't have a sexy pool, just a decent one, but would meet your other requirements.

Mirage keeps coming up. I love Mirage, but showing $300+ with resort fees for their dates.

I do not have any comps. I have CHASE reward points to use if I want for one room, ~$700 worth if i book through them.
I've looked at AAA Rates, bookit.com, a few places that my work has for sites to book hotels and mlife rewards.

Yea, I'm just worried if the prices are too high it just would be better to just book palazzo and be happy.

Thanks! I'm ok with 200 before fees. 200 is kinda the price point I've put my mind on.

I'm a fan of Mirage - so may be biased.
    Mirage has a great pool.
Bus to downtown right across the street at Harrah's(Deuce) or Paris/Wynn for SDX),
Return bus stops at Mirage(Deuce) or Fashion Show Mall or Bellagio for SDX)
LOVE at Mirage is a great show (our favorite).
Hike to NYNY is about 20-25 minutes, or catch bus.
Easy walk to Wynn, V/P, Harrah's, Linq, Caesar's, Bellagio(13 min).
Don't know about rates though...Tower King has a larger bath with walkin shower- worth it!

Whichever you choose, I know you will have a great time!

The rates all seem high. I think someone above mentioned the Iheart Festival is during this time.

    - Are your dates fixed?
    - Look at the FULL month calendar for a few resorts to get an idea of rates.
    - you may not have any OFFERS at CET, but if you got a card and played a little, you might get a decent rate. Login and look at monthly calendar

Of those 3 I would rec Mirage or PH. Paris is dead center strip but Caesars hasn't done any real work on that place in years. Better energy/vibe at PH, Mirage probably best standard rooms of the 3, lots of new bars, plenty of good place to eat, Beatles LOVE, etc.
