    Hello all!
I think I've finally attached the pictures, does anyone know how to turn them the right direction?

Anyway, I started from Kansas City on Saturday morning on the Southwest non-stop and arrived at McCarran at 8:45 AM Vegas time. Luggage carousel started shortly after making my way there, found my Uber and then was at Paris Diamond (achieved for the first time last year - the extras are NICE) check in at 9:30. My room was ready and I was in 2698P directly facing the Bellagio fountains. I love the P rooms for the windows on 2 walls that allows so much light in and 2 views!

Unpacked in a few minutes and headed to Total rewards to pick up my $60 free play and headed to the champagne slots area. I'm normally a table game player, Crazy 4 & UTH in particular, so I figured I'd play it through a $5 video poker machine 1 credit at a time :nono: I tried Joker Poker then switched to Deuces Wild and of course I hold 3 cards and it fills in the no wild Royal :faint: I proceed to chew on myself $1,250 instead of $20,000 but I would have only played 2-3 hands if betting max and not gotten that. Waited for the 1099, cashed out the credits and wondered over to a $1 Double Diamond and $.25 Triple Play video poker and had a a couple good hits.

Love the blueberry pancakes at the Cafe - they macerate real blueberries into the butter and use it for the topping. I don't even use the syrup! By then the table games I like are opening and I end up playing Texas Hold"em Bonus for almost 4 hours and walk off about $350 up. I just play nickels so I'm happy. Tax season is over and this is the detox vacation week!

My days began at 4:00 AM KC time (2AM Vegas time) and I'm done. Back to the cafe for a salad and the wonderful warm rolls and up to the room. Watch the fountains & lights in general & turn in. Then about midnight I found out why that room was ready - the nightclub booming about tossed me out of bed and then it seemed to get super loud on the hour until 4AM. So much for a nice, relaxing night but it is closed Sunday night so it will be better.

Sunday morning I wandered over to Bellagio to meet up with my cousins from California and we had the brunch then wandered around playing a little and mostly talking, just catching up. Headed back to Paris, played Crazy 4 for a while, then we all met up for dinner outside at Mon Ami Gabi then headed in to see Jersey Boys. Such a great show and my era of music.

Monday morning I lined up Uber to head for the Golden Nugget. My host had comped me in the Rush Tower - very nice! Before my husband passed he played LOTS of $1 slots and they still take care of me even though I don't qualify for much playing nickel table games. Rooms ready, unpack and head down to pick up my new card for 2016 and free play of $50. They also had a "pick a pearl" and I received another $25 free play.

Same morning routine (Vegas seems to wake up much later than I) and head for video poker and find a $1 Game King machine with Joker Poker. It's playing pretty well and deals a straight with 4 cards in hearts. Feeling good so I drop the jack of diamonds and the jack of hearts fills in for another Royal, this one for $4,700:faint: I'm starting to like these free play offers! The cousins are finally awake and get to the Nugget and I'm trying to tell them where I am in the casino while waiting for the paperwork. Guess who bought breakfast:licklips:

Went thru Mob Museum then wandered up & down Fremont just going in the various casinos and playing here & there. Spent a while at the D on the Sigma derby - that was fun. My cousins left late afternoon to head back (they'd been in town since Thursday) and it was time for the tables! Played at the D till it got too loud then moved back to the Nugget - wonderful floors & dealers and a great group of people, so much fun.

Tuesday - another play day. It is great to just do what you want, when you want, for as long as you want. I'm just out to relax and have fun. Back to the D after dinner to see "Defending the Caveman" - halarious! I highly recommend if you just want to laugh.

Wednesday- just a walking & playing day. Dinner at Chart House right next to the aquarium - the fish picture.
Gordie Brown show - again, very good show and my era of people.

Thursday morning - Uber to Rio. Front desk finds a Samba Room with a strip view ready (was this a slow week or was I just lucky at check ins?) Unpack, head to Total Rewards and get the Diamond tickets for Menopause the Musical, the $100 celebration dinner for the American Grill (my friend & his kids were coming for dinner) and $100 in free play. Must find Game King video poker - Yes!!!! Well, it wasn't another Royal, but the second best Joker Poker hand - 5oak for $1,000:nworthy: I like this game!

Hit the tables and have dinner plans set for 5:30. Head over to get the table and no show? Finally get a text that said in traffic, raining like $@&%. Pull up the weather & traffic map and you can see what happens when it rains........ Dinner was an hour late, but the waitress was understanding and I made it up to her. The kids have grown but the bill came to $98 - couldn't get much closer than that!

Friday - slow moving, finally getting off work schedule just before going home:cry: Grab lunch at the buffet, play tables for a while then take the shuttle over to Harrahs and gamble till the show. I'd never seen Menopause and couldn't figure out how they could do 1-1/2 hours on it but I was wrong. It was fantastic and the music was from the 60s & 70s so I loved it. Great show & lots of men there too.

Saturday - Southwest non-stop at 5:40 PM so I checked my bag, had a leisurely brunch at the buffet then hit the tables till time to go. Uber pick up to airport, by the way - less than $50 in transportation this trip, usually that's 1 trip to the Nugget:grrr: Flight originates here so my A23 is good and then we're home. My son picks me up and I'm home around midnight but couldn't go to sleep till after 2:00AM. I think Monday morning will be  But, the best news is I came home almost $8,000 up. I played all week on the funds from the first $1,250 Royal and never opened my bank envelope - that makes it a wonderful & fun trip:beer:

I hope this wasn't too long and detailed and wish the pictures were in order but I think everyone here can tell what they were.

Now 4 months till the trip for my & my daughter-in-law's birthdays along with my son. He wants to check out the Shelby shop & museum, should be cool.

    Good luck to all:wave:

Sounds like a great trip. Thanks for the TR and pics. I'm planning on spending more time at VP this solo trip and your experience helped confirm that decision. I'm of the same era and appreciate the show reviews. I always try to plan them on solo trips but can't stop gambling long enough. Also a natural early riser. When go down to the casino before 6am I tally up what % just arrived like me and what % are left over from the night before. Usually depends on the day of the week which is a higher %. To me the best times are between 5 and 10 am. I can play any table or machine I like and at low minimums. Only downer is the lack of CWs.

Congrats on the wins. Hope I'm even 1/2 as lucky!

Thank you all! It's always a great trip when winning and the weather stayed 60-70.

Ezzy - I agree, the easy access to everything in the mornings is a plus except the casinos that don't open the carnival game tables till noon:thumbsdown:. But, that makes me get my walk in before sitting too long at the tables.

Good luck to everyone on their future trips!

Great hits! Wish you were max betting dollars on that deuces royal instead though. :(

Maybe I'll get lucky at Hollywood STL tonight and snag a big progressive royal or a $1000 quint playing 2 pair Joker Poker at the bar. I really suck at that game though...lol. I dunno how people stand it. :)

Tringlomane - I agree fully about 2 pair Joker Poker, I hate it too. I hunt till I find a Kings or Better version or just stay with Deuces Wild.
    Good luck on your trip!

I really enjoyed your TR. We were there almost the same days you were. The weather was not greatest, but it was better than back home. I saw Jersey Boys with the girls and we loved it too! Thanks for the review on Menopause - I think I may catch it on our next trip. Congrats on your awesome winnings! It sure does make for a great trip.
