    Hey all,

    I have a comped room at Bally's May 1st-5th.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed there. 1st trip I had a comped room & when I checked out they waived resort fee/taxes.

How much do you think is necessary to gamble there so I can have this waived again? I'm mostly a low-roller who plays slots. ($1500 gambling money for trip)

    Any feedback would be awesome.

    Thanks!

Just standard Gold card. Last trip I did do the majority of my gambling at Bally's & Total rewards properties. I did put in a decent amount of play as I hold my own for most of the trip.

It's not a huge deal. But having that $200 charge waived would be nice. I'll gamble mostly at total rewards properties but do like to venture out all over the strip.

What the heck? I earned 1,000 TCs in gambling (over the course of 4 nights) when I went three weeks ago and I didn't get anything waived!

250 TCs per day is pretty much on the low roller side. Just sayin.

With all the dumb bonuses on tier credits, it's had to tell how that works. The casino will look at the coin in. You need to earn enough credit to pay off your room first. Most casinos view most slots at 90% theo. Take your coin in, divide by 10, and that's your theo. They should come 30% of that.

I hear ya...and I agree..but the OP said he's gold and spent $1500 in gambling money so I imagine he didn't earn 500+ TCs a day.

I believe I was there 5 days & accumulated just over 1,000 TC's for the trip.

In that case, I am thinking you were lucky to get the resort fee waived.

You likely were lucky to get them comped at that level in my opinion also.

I earned around 2780 (without bonuses) over 5 days. I did - for the first time - ask at Diamond checkout if anything could be taken off my bill. I only had $211 in charges (before tips) & they used my $145 RCs first (standard). She went to ask the host & he looked up my stuff and said 'oh is that all' and waived the other approximately $70 or so. That was with a Jubilee room comped for 5 nights also. So figuring the theo would come in around $834 (98% slots vs. 2% VP) & to be honest I think general room rate would have run higher than that (running around the time of the Broadcaster convention). So I was pleasantly surprised to have the rest of it wiped off and didn't really expect it to be.

I guess I got lucky then! The room is comped & that's more than enough for me.

Yes with a $1500 bankroll, I would say that you can expect to continue receiving free rooms at lower tier CET props, but I wouldn't count on always getting resort fees or additional room charges comped on the back end. This of course could change if you are ahead and able to play much longer on your bankroll than anticipated, or at a higher bet level.

To maximize your comps, stick to playing at CET props. You can still casino hop, but try to keep your play under the CET umbrella. There are 8 choices all within a 15 minute walk of each other right in the middle of the Strip.

I wish I knew of some rhyme or reason for this. I like saving my TR credits to cover my resort fees at the end of my trip so I don't have to save cash. However, it's kind of a bummer (in a way) when saving those, then finding out upon checkout that the fees are waived. Then, I sit there wishing I would have used the TR credits on other things during the trip instead of taking them home with me.

Stupid question, but if you know that CET will use your RC's first, why aren't people burning them before asking?

Sometimes folks want to save them up for future trips.

Because I don't care if they use them. To me it's still a comp, some will disagree but I live in Vancouver where we don't get to earn points gambling that can be used to purchase things with so to me, they didn't have to give me those reward credits to begin with.
