Just curious I have an upcoming 4 night stay at the Aria for free. But I do have to pay the resort fee. Not sure why I got a comped room. I don't gamble alot. Only play slots and maybe $100-200 max per day.

But anyways can I somehow get the resort fee waived? Do I just ask nicely at the end of my trip? And I am assuming I should spend some money at the hotel (e.g food etc)

    Thanks

last time I checked out at the Aria I complained about their crappy in-room wi-fi — I had to call for help twice and they put me on hold forever until I finally just hung up — and they quickly offered to comp my resort fees. (not suggesting you should lie, just relaying my experience)

Well ya if its unsatisfactory I would report any problems. I never had a problem with their wifi before.

At $100-$200/day gambling budget, I doubt resort fee would be comped. Was this a one time marketing offer or do you regularly get comped there? I may have to start giving them some play.

Oh god no. First time I ever. They were giving rooms like candy about a month ago. Not sure why. Some people received emails. I happened to call mlife. And they offered 3 or 4 nights.

It is compabile. You need to earn enough to cover your room first. Prob need about 4K coin in per day on slots to cover your room and resort fee.

You need to earn enough to cover the room first, after you've done that, additional comps such as resort fees come to play. Even though you've got the comped room, you're still expected to earn it during your trip. No offense but based on what you've said, the chances of you getting resort fees comped are pretty close to zero.

Ya that's what I figured. But never hurts to ask. I have no idea how it all works. I'm a casual gambler. Play for fun, no expectation. Mostly go for food and day trips. I was happy to get free room.

Btw how do they know what you spend at their casino? Only way to track is via the card right?

That's correct, so make sure you use it for EVERYTHING. You also get credit (and sometimes discounts) for your spending at restaurants, bars, shops, etc.

yeah, for some reason lol when I play the slots sometimes I use my card and other times I don't. Psychological thing. Meaning if the cards in they know who I am etc and how much I spend/win. Without a card its random :0 ) or at least thats my thinking.

Oh lol just my theory :) but I maybe learned a bit from last trip. I won some money on slots in a different casino. Didn't realize the withholding tax :/ then filed to get some money back hopefully. And then realized I needed win/loss records which of course u need the card :)

    Thanks

I didn't until this last trip, but all of a sudden the wifi wouldn't work at all on one computer, but was fine on the other. I'm hoping this is sorted out by next time.

Anyway, resort fees are pretty much the first thing they'll take off if you run into any issues, but at your budget, it's unlikely to be a true comp. A few trips ago I had a problem where one of the taxi line guys was an absolute ass to me, and when I called to complain (not with an eye towards getting anything out of it, I just wanted his manager to talk to him), the rep immediately said she'd take off my resort fee, even when I told her that wasn't necessary.

The answer for this post is easy. No way. They are already taking a hit on your as a customer. Your low play barely covers the room cost. Probably a loss for them.

Well they are the one that offered me free room for 4 nights lol i wasn't begging. So there must be something i "gave them". I have put plenty into their casino over the years lol trust me. I don't feel one inkling of any guilt.
