I'll be in Vegas for the third time in May, but it'll be my first guys trip. I've been on a couple of father/son trips before, so I've never done the club scene. I've done a bunch of research on what to do, but there seems to be some differing opinions on what a small group of guys should do.

It seems like most people say to do one of the big clubs (XS, Marquee, Hakk, Omnia), but none of us are willing to spend 2-300 minimum it would take to get in and have a good time as a group of 4 guys. The party bus/club crawl options look good, but none of them seem to hit any of the big clubs and reviews seem to be hit or miss even for the best companies (Sin City).

The V Card also seems like a good idea because we could go to multiple clubs on multiple nights and could go to Rehab for a dayclub experience, but that has gotten some bad reviews online with people being turned down.

If we talk to a promoter, is there any chance we could get in anywhere for free without doing something like a V Card or club crawl? Also, are the middle tier clubs like Tao, Chateau, and Drais that are on these club crawls/V Card even worth the money?

I will do my best to help out with tips. Unfortunately as a group of dudes you are at a major disadvantage, the more guys the worse it is.
    - If you aren't willing to shell out for a table I would suggest doing pre-sale tickets. You lock in your price for admission and typically entry is much faster than GA.
    - I did a bar crawl from Party Tours (I think) and did Chateau, Haze(rip) and Tao (if we had made it there). It's a good ice breaker if you are looking to meet girls and entry into the venues is faster than GA (general admission) but like you said it doesn't hit those top clubs like XS, Hak, Omnia etc.

To be honest I would say there's no way you are getting in free to a club unless you are at an even ratio of guys to girls and it's like a Tuesday - Thursday.

I would honestly consider jumping on GROUPON and grabbing tickets for the SIN CITY CLUB CRAWL. Its an absolute blast and you will meet all kinds of girls on the crawl and guys too that you can chat strategy or places to hang with. Do that the first night and then you can decide your likes or dislikes from there.

What days of the week are you there? Mon-Thurs there are some bottle deals available with the right hosts and handshake that wouldn't break the bank. Drais for example has 2 bottles of goose/belvedere for $600 with a decent shake for your host

Based on your budget it sounds like doing one of the large clubs might not be your best option. I would recomend a more relaxed scene where you can sit down and have fun without a several thousand dollar invesetment. At a major club even without a table you are still going to be spending on an entrance fee and buying drinks for 15-20 dollars.

I'll be there Wednesday-Saturday. Thinking about adding another night on the end, so maybe Wednesday-Sunday. I noticed Drais is on a few of the club crawls. That looks like one of the better second tier places. At this point I'm thinking we're gonna need to go to second tier places instead. Would you recommend Drais?

Yeah I'm thinking you're right. It blows my mind that so many others my age are willing to spend that kind of money on one night. I know it's Vegas, but spending over a grand for bottle service one night seems crazy to a simple North Carolinian. If we do well gambling that could change though. I always assume that whatever I bring to gamble with I'll lose though.

That two for $600 deal is availiable on Thursdays, Fri Sat you're not gonna be looking at any bottle deals for those so maybe head down the pre-sale or the crub crawl route. Drais is good, can be a bit sketchy on the nights they have live performers however Thurs they just have DJs normally so it'll be fine. It may not be tier 1 for Vegas but its 100% better than anything we have here so i'd imagine it would be the same compared to North Carolina

Have you personally used one of these? I noticed after my last trip that they added this option. Pretty decent deal.

A good promotor should be able to at least get you in for half the price

Where do you find the good promoters? I've been told the guys out on the street are not the guys you want to talk to?

I gotta tell you, I'm not keen on Vegas night life. Everyone can have the big clubs...fun isn't standing in the guestlist line for an hour. And, if you're willing to shell out for GA, the line is still long. I went to Drais last time I was there and had a great time. Drinks were reasonably priced too! That said, the most fun I had in Vegas were random bars like the Bourbon room at the Venetian, Koi (on a Thursday) at pH, and the bars on freemont.

What about one of the packages at Lavo Casino Club/Tao? The "Pre Game" package includes some apps, two drinks in the Casino Club and expedited entry into Tao after midnight for $55/person. You might not want to stay in Tao all night without a table, but even if you just check it out for an hour after the Casino Club, you're not flushing a ton of money. I've never done one of these packages, but I've been to Casino Club and Tao and it seems like a reasonable deal to me.

Look up Chase Vegas VIP on twitter. He always hooks it up when I'm there.

Try the forums on JackColton. Not to knock VMB, but JC is a sub community of people interested mainly in the night and day clubs of LV, so they are dialed in to the best hosts and contacts at each venue.
