Usually I go 4-5 days but coming from the east-coast I am in Chicago tomorrow and was thinking since im kinda half way to vegas:) i'll sneak off for 2 nights and come back fri late night.

Havent figured out if its worth it.....i would get there late weds night(im a night owl anyway), so only have thursday and fri morning.

Nights are comped(but im not a big gambler so it would affect ADP), flights are free.......

    hrm....

Depends on what you're going for. For me, I like the restaurants, the people, the clubs, and the gambling...plus any shows. I can't do anything less than 4 nights. Unfortunately, my next trip will only be 3 nights and I'm kicking myself wondering if I should extend it.

I've done a single night twice, but thats when I was driving from Chicago to LA. Shortest trip where I leave from and return to the same place is two nights. Three nights is the sweet spot for me, four is the max. Did a five night trip once, never again. Couldn't overcome the alcohol poisoning by the fifth day.

Had a same-day turnaround, maybe two; a lot of one nighters.

Well, if I was coming from the East Coast I'd certainly not choose Vegas very often.

I think it's relative. 4 nights would be long for someone from the west coast and short for someone like me who comes from Hawaii.

I take 4 night solo trips once or twice a year. When I go with my wife we do longer trips. My wife feels it isn't worth it to go for only 4 nights. She likes to shop, eat at nice places and watch shows.

Me, I gamble so 4 nights solo is perfect. Going for 4 nights and trying to do all of the above is too short and hectic.

My husband had a 4 hour layover in Vegas on his way home from a business trip. He got a cab to MGM or Excalibur to cash in some vouchers we had from the old MGM Mirage credit card and hit the blackjack tables for about 90 minutes before heading back to the airport.

When we lived in the Bay Area, we'd drive into Vegas for a 2 night trip a couple times a year. I still can't believe we didn't ever go to Vegas when Dan was living in the Mojave and we were doing the long-distance dating thing. Every other weekend one of us would travel to see the other. It hurts me to think about all those boring things we did in Victorville when we could have been driving out to Vegas for the day. :haha:

That's kinda the same as one of my two shortest. 4 hour layover after a Reno flight. I had a friend in town so he picked me up and we went for a good lunch, then took me back to the airport.

The other shortest (and this is not necessarily advised from the midwest)... We left Chicago at 9:00 PM on Saturday night, arrived in Las Vegas around 11:00 PM, then left the next evening on a red eye at 12:15 AM. We flew in for 25 hours of fun!

Like eat at Chili's? That's what we did in Victorville. Pales in comparison to what we were doing ~3 hours before (Disneyland for the first time) and ~3 hours later (South Point casino for the first time)

As for me, my shortest trips were 3 nights. The first (technically the shortest) and the last. Ideally I want 6 nights.

3 Hours. Flew up for dinner and played $10 at MGM to keep my $2000 in Express Comps active for another year.

I will fly in and out the same day but only to redeem some offers. I did it last year to cash in on both MGM and Caesars Christmas points.

18 hours. It was my first ever trip to Vegas and I was on my way to Seattle. Just stopped for one night. Can't imagine staying only 18 hours ever again

Had a work trip in LA cut short a few years back. So we decided to change our flight home to leave from Vegas to the east coast. We drove from LA late that night and spent about 8 hours in Vegas and then flew home.

I did a solo trip in 2010. Flew from the East Coast and landed in Las Vegas on a Tues Morn. Flew back home that Thurs Morn.
My longest trip was 8 Days which was too long for me. I usually do 3 days/4 max. I'm due for another solo trip one of these days.

Four days with the girls. Never again especially that it is a 6 hour flight. Next is going to be 6 in Vegas and 2 at the Grand Canyon.

My husband's company used to take all their managers and their spouses to Vegas each year. (Before they grew too big for it to be affordable.). That was always a 2 night trip, arrive mid day on Thursday and leave Sat afternoon. It went by awfully fast, but considering airfare and room were paid for, we werent' complaining.

Our typical trip are 3 nights, as it's only about a 3 hour flight from Texas. Occasionally we'll do 4 nights with a later arrival the first night. Our upcoming trip is 5 nights but we are planning a whole day out exploring so hopefully it won't feel like too long.
