Can't sign in. Get a blinking message that says "There is something wrong and we cannot sign you in" (paraphrase).

Anyone else? I've tried every solution Microsoft offers and no dice.

Please don't respond with "Get another service" or "My service is far superior to you're crappy one". That does not help. I am asking about Outlook.

    I assume this is outlook.com?

If so, it is not down, so most likely there is an issue with your password or other verification.

Which I can't resolve because you have to sign in to get to the Help section.

Did you already go down the 'forgot my password' route?

If so, what did you chose from there? Have you previously assigned a phone number with the account?

Di you try a different browser? I sometimes have difficulties with google and then the switch to explorer and that fixes it.

I've tried everything and nothing will fix it. I tried a system restore and that does nothing. I'm getting very worried. I have a lot of stuff stored on Outlook. I can't solve the problem at all.

I sympathize, but if you won't give any details other than "I tried everything", what help are you expecting?

Anyway, this has a list of steps you can take. There is also a chat with support link at the bottom.

I have tried everything that you have suggested and I have visited that link and changed my password and I can't go further on Microsoft Help because it wants you to sign in and I can't sign in.

I wonder if the problem is that I have not upgraded to Windows 10? I am on Windows 7.

I can get e-mail on my iPhone.

Okay, so now, I went to my iPhone and I can get messages, but when I opened my folders, they showed for a second then they deleted all the info.

I have some very exotic virus, I'm afraid.

I doubt its a virus (or at least that it caused your current problem), and you do not need windows 10.

Did you try the chat? It does not appear to require a sign in.

Do you have Office 365? Might be time to renew subscription

I tried the chat and at least we established there is nothing wrong with my account because I can access it through Safari. They sent me to technical support which just did the total runaround thing in trying to get a techie. I've been on this for 4 hours and I'm tired of it for today.

    Thank you for your help.

Well, at least you can get in somehow now, even if its not ideal. Good luck navigating the rest.
