Haha, sorry grandpa I'm not interested. I'm sure there are plenty of manly men walking around in cowboy shoes spitting tobacco out there for you.

Now that I know how many people get irrationally disturbed by the sight of a man's bare feet....I've got to find ways to be out in public with my bare feet more often! I don't think I'll ever wear shoes on a plane again.

I get grossed out being anywhere barefoot that's not hygenic... airport especially. We all know airports are vestibules for bacteria and viruses

I just returned from Albertson's. I touched the grocery cart. I wore slippahs.

Hell, I wear slippahs most every day of the week ... when I'm not barefootin'.

I REALLY wanna know how someone's feet -- bare, flip-flopped, "properly" shod -- get in another person's mouth, face, hands? Y'all are on far different types of flights than me.

I didn't. Didn't follow the link either but apparently if I were to fly wearing my slippahs someone would take a picture and I'd be, well, what would I be?

When I was in the Navy we had a port of call in Pataya Beach Thailand. (Absolutely beautiful place btw) Before our destroyer crew was set loose we had a lady from the local consulate come aboard and give us a protocol discussion on the local customs, do's and dont's etc. One of the things she stressed was that it was very disrespectful to touch the local inhabitants on the top of their heads with our bare feet. We all got a good laugh and thought nothing of it as we hit the beach. Now 30 something years later I find it almost disturbing that she had to mention such a thing......(insert drunken sailor jokes here)....

    Different stroke for different folks.

(And you get a two stroke penalty!)
