The fact that my local Casino puts high paying slots in the Smoking room area annoys me as I am a non smoker and have to deal with smokers blowing their wretched smoke in my direction. I feel like telling them I am only here because the slots are high paying and I am not a smoker, so please stop blowing your smoke in my direction. The Casino really should put those high paying slots on the main non smoking slot floor.

Obvious question but how have you figured that those slots are high paying?

The closest casino to me is the Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa. They are the only game in town and as a result they don't try very hard in regards to customer satisfaction. They know folks will continue to show up anyway.

Poor VP paytables as well as not enough of the machines they do have. No comped drinks. Terrible Loyalty program.

    It's not Vegas.
    No comped drinks.
Hard to find even one bank of video poker and the pay tables are terrible.
When I get back to my "room" at the end of the day, nobody has made the bed. And the other people in my "room" think I should cook dinner instead of calling room service. ;)

No comped drinks and NO VP. All the slots are bingo based so I may visit once a year.

Poor drink service. Sometimes there are sections where do don't see a CW until the afternoon. I wish drinks were comped but not a deal breaker.
The other customers. For as much effort as it takes to get to a boat, you still see people standing around watching people play because they have no money. I don't know if they came with a friend or rode a shuttle and can't go home but it seems like they only had $20 and it didn't last long. There are also rude slot players like hogging multiple terminals. You don't see that on the strip or near strip.

Most of the other complaints are things that bug me about Vegas casinos, too.

One thing and one thing only: None of 'em are Vegas.

    So we don't go.

The customer service is not what it should be. Like many others there is no competition so they dont have to worry about it. Some of the dealers should not be working there or be better trained. One time we (3 of us at the table) had to correct dealer on payouts for every hand or even tell her she forgot to pay us on a win.

The only real big complaint I have is the poor cell service while on the casino floor. But otherwise it's Vegas style, free drinks, bunch of restaurants, no resort fee, decent buffet, free parking, etc.

If I'm not feeling the love, I have to drive at least a 30 minutes to another casino. In AC or Vegas, I just walk to the next one.

For me it would be slot selection.

Its hard to elaborate because there is so much you could go in to about it:
-> there are lots of games that come out that I will never see at my local casino
-> they have a very slow turnover of old games and games nobody seems to play
-> they go overboard on games people do play. An example would be Wicked Winnings of which they have over 80 machines in the casino, mostly Wicked Winnings 2... plus they just added another 5 or 6 machines in the last 2 weeks that were Wicked Winnings 2 and 4 in one machine. Wild Wolf is another where they have over 50 of that machine in the casino.
-> When they do bring in new machines, a lot of the times they aren't new: back in December they took out a bunch of machines and of the new ones they brought in probably only 5 were actually games never seen at the casino. Of what they did bring in there were 10 more Cleopatra and 16 more Rich Girl machines.

There are a few other things like bad VP pay tables, the contests/events they run now are all the same each month (they used to have a pretty good variety years ago), the restaurant/food selection is pretty bad (also used to be pretty good years ago).

I don't mind that the drinks aren't comped - keeps me from drinking too much and it actually has impacted my Vegas trips were I don't put so much... emphasis? reliance? on free drinks. Not sure what word I want there, but in Las Vegas now I don't mind having to pay for a drink at the bar or going to get a beer from the store, whereas on the first few trips I'd sit at my machine and wait almost all night for that "free" beer if I had to.

    LOL

It's like when I get back from Vegas, and I'm always annoyed that there are no slot machines "downstairs".

I have actually weaned myself off my locals. Quit going to Treasure Island a year ago, closed my account and told them to quit mailing me things. Mystic Lake went the same route in January of this year. Haven't been to either since. I don't actually miss it that much, and I certainly don't miss losing. At least in Vegas if I lose, I can go relax in my suite, or have a nice dinner using my food comp. The local comps are a joke compared to Vegas.

Damn where to start, no drink service, ante on BJ, craps using cards, piss poor FP, tight slots that get tighter, closed the best restaurant down for half assed Brazilian BBQ and Sushi joints, zero customer service. NOT VEGAS!! That's just a start and why we quit going to the tribal crooks a year+ago.
